Highlights
Altezza Travel - Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet an Altezza Travel representative, and transfer to the hotel under the rate. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay: cozy rooms, hot water, polite staff, a swimming pool, and Internet access. In the evening there will be a briefing with our managers, who will also make sure you are ready to begin the climb.

Additional Information
The Northern circuit, which is both the longest and newest course on Mount Kilimanjaro, is renowned for its excellent opportunities for acclimatization and its stunning panoramas of the mountain’s northern slopes. It currently sees only a small number of touring visitors, therefore it’s often not congested. This route is ideal for those who prefer extended backpacking journeys in secluded wilderness areas with few other hikers nearby. One needs a minimum of eight days to ascend Kilimanjaro using the Northern Circuit, making it a path with an impressive summit success rate. A 9-day extended itinerary, which includes camping in the crater, is also an option.

Above and beyond - Altezza travel from the first contact were extremely efficient and attentive to our quires. When we set off for our northern circuit route our team of guides cooks and porters all went above and beyond to ensure our time on the mountain was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and they got us to the top. We would highly recommend them.

Incredible 8 days hiking to the roof of Africa - Amazing 8 day hike to the top of Africa. Altezza crew were phenomenal - so happy and helpful the entire trip. Any mind symptom was dealt with, with plenty medications to ensure you are feeling your best. Food, camp, equipment was all faultless. Altezza and the crew has excellent communication, from pre-booking, the trip to checkout.

Bucket list trek & nailed it!!! - Our 8 day trek to the summit of Kili was one the most amazing, mentally challenging and physically demanding treks I have ever experienced. Such a diverse range of ecosystems and trekking challenges to test any trekker. But the rewards outway the challenges 100% !!
Our team from Altezza are the ultimate professionals in the field of trekking Mt Kili.
They could not do enough to ensure we had a safe, happy, amazing experience. From the office staff when you arrive to check in for your trek, to the day to day challenges you come across on track and on your return!! Absolutely wonderful people.

Wow!! What an experience - We cannot speak highly enough of Altezza travel. They are very professional and have the most amazing staff. We were so blessed with our team that assisted us with our 8 day trek. The guides are well trained for all situations and adapt to your requirements. The Altezza support crew were also amazing - Noel was amazing ensuring that we had the correct gear for our climb and the hotel staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend Altezza Travel!

best experience in Africa - evetything is amazing！especially the whole team including climing crew ，and safari guide and staffs of hotel，everyone makes this trip far beyond my expectation！and when climing Kili the crew Nolasco and Wilson encouraged us a lot which is an important factor to help me to the summit！and I also like thr food in mountain 、safari and lodges even Im a Chinese can enjoy the food as well. I will recommend Altezza to all my friends. Thank you for giving me a unforgetable memory.

Fantastic trip, thanks to the Altezza team. - Altezza are supreme at their job. 3 of us started on a private group trip on the Northern Circuit, one left on day two due to illness, two us summited. Every detail is considered making our trip comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing. Joseph (head guide) and Jafari (assistant guide) were professional and knowledgeable. They assessed our needs at every step and consulted with us on every decision. We wanted to do a daytime summit and Joseph discussed every detail with us. Thank you to the whole team of 18 who supported our trip to the summit and to the office team who looked after us in every detail. I can safely say Altezza are the best company on the mountain.

Amazing company fantastic trip - Wow just wow, what a trip. Altezza make it so easy. From the staff in the office to the team on the trail they are so helpful and supportive. Amazing company for a once in a lifetime experience - We were beyond impressed with Altezza. They looked after us every step of the way, both big and small, and they really went above and beyond. From the tour manager Aya, to our guides Stanley and Osward, to the rest of the 18-member Kilimanjaro crew (Faraja, Evance, Badru, Tosha, Gerald, Steven, Joshua, Patrick, Emmanuel, Omari, Praxeda, Waziri, Gibson, Kanankira, Muhidini and Pamfili) who looked after us every step of the way, words can’t express how thankful we are for each of you.
We were also over the moon to hear how well Altezza treats and values their staff. This is really important to us, and for this alone we STRONGLY recommend Altezza to everyone who is planning a trip to Tanzania.

Amazing Crews - We first did a Serengeti safari and then Mt Kili. There were three of us.
The crews on both the outings were amazing. They were responsive, caring and joyful. Couldn’t have completed the Kili hike without our main guide, Bosco, the second guide, Osman, and the other 16 people.

It was an incredible experience. - It was an incredible experience.
It was significantly more challenging than what I expected and for what- and how- I prepared.
Choosing Altezza Travel made the difference to our success story.
Our "clan" was amazing. Their attention and care will forever be in our hearts and minds.
I strongly advise to do a thorough research before embarking in this unique challenge if you are not a trained hiker. Choose a strong and well equipped tour operator. The extra cost is worthy.
In my opinion the summit day could have been less challenging if it starts during the early morning instead of at midnight. There will be colder (much much colder) temperatures and you will be fighting with your circadian rhythm. The agency recommend it so we could enjoy the unique and breathtaking view of the sunrise. I was so exhausted sleep deprived and breathless that I missed it. Just think about it.
Another thing I would have liked for Altezza to do better is to provide more portions/options for protein. There was too much starch and carbs.
Lastly, their tents we had need replacement or good repairs. The zippers kept breaking. It was very annoying. We had to have them fixed daily almost.
Other than that- and I would say it with confidence- IF I ever climb the Kili again, it will be with Altezza Travel. I hope they keep doing what they are doing and improving their services and products.
