The Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic views on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery, and a high summit success rate.

The majority of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using the Lemosho route and their feedback on this route is excellent. We highly recommend the Lemosho route to our clients. The climb begins at Lemosho Gate at an altitude of 2360 meters, with a western approach. It then circles around Kilimanjaro to the south, passing through majestic rainforest, home to some of the region’s most unique wildlife. The route continues up to Shira Ridge; the mountain’s third summit.

5 stars for Nafika - Nafika tours went above and beyond to ensure we made it to the top safely. Elias has hired an exceptional team who are enthused to give you the best possible experience. We were blown away with how good our dealings with the company were. The communication was great from the start and the team motivated us, kept it fun and most importantly got us all to the top (and back down) safely.

All was Fantastic!! - Last month, my son and I had the great adventure of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. It was an incredible journey from start to finish, exceeding all my high expectations for Nafika Tours. Their services were outstanding in every respect. The staff members were exceptionally knowledgeable and ensured that our 19,341-foot climb was both safe and enjoyable. When you're climbing high above the clouds, where there's only half the oxygen, having super experienced and top-notch guides by your side is crucial. The scenery was breathtaking! We took the Lemosho route, which involves seven days to reach the summit and one and a half days to descend. I'm 68 years old and in average shape, while my son is 28 and in excellent shape. Perhaps it was genetic luck, but thanks to their wise guidance and twice-daily health monitoring, we experienced no high-altitude ill effects. As a business consultant who likes to find ways to improve businesses, I can be a tough customer to satisfy. However, with Nafika Tours, everything was perfect. After returning to Australia, I had a follow-up call with them and struggled to suggest anything that could have been done differently. They may cost a bit more, but their value proposition is outstanding and worth every penny. Kudos to Nafika Tours for operating such a well-run business! And did I mention the food? We ate like kings the whole way up. Their "International Culinary Institute"-trained high-altitude chefs even baked a delicious birthday cake for one of the climbers halfway up the mountain.

It was fantastic Kilimanjaro and safari Trip with the local! - We traveled as a group of six and hike on a seven-day summit trek to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route in Tanzania, followed by a four-day safari, all expertly organized by Nafika Tours. Everything was arranged for us, and Nafika Tours were very responsive and reputable via email, which filled us with confidence. We were picked up at the airport and immediately began our trek. The experience was incredible and far exceeded our expectations. We had a team of porters who were some of the friendliest people I have ever met, and they really encouraged us to keep going. The porters carried the bulk of our luggage, food (which was excellent every day), tents, and other supplies to each campsite and had everything set up for us. Reaching the summit felt incredibly rewarding despite the physical challenge. A huge thank you to Elia, Evod, and their team for making it possible. Our group had a 100% summit success rate, which I attribute to our guides and porters. When two people in our group were moving at a slower pace, the main guide stayed with them while the rest of us continued. When some of us experienced nausea or other minor symptoms of altitude sickness, the guides knew exactly how to handle it. I was impressed by the daily safety checks they conducted, including taking vitals, checking oxygen levels, and administering an altitude sickness questionnaire. After the climb, we received our certificates and enjoyed a celebratory dinner with our guides. The safari was also fantastic. Our guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable. We saw every type of animal on our watch list numerous times, including up-close encounters with lions and many others. We stayed at lovely lodges each night with good food and had great photo opportunities. The daily drives were very enjoyable, traveling through dirt tracks surrounded by thousands of animals. I couldn’t recommend this holiday enough, especially with Nafika Tours, as they made everything so easy, safe, and relaxed. Throughout the trip, we seemed to be the most organized and best group. Thank you to Nafika Tours for making it an amazing experience!

To the Roof of Africa with Nafika Tours - lifetime memories! - Just completed a solo 8-day hike with Nafika Tours. Successfully reached Uhuru Peak on Sunday, June 9th. Nafika Tours was one of the 5 tour companies that I contacted and am so thankful that I eventually booked my hike with them. All communications was with Elias who helped plan the entire trip for me. Stress free, easy and prompt communication via email & whatsapp. He was very fast in his responses too and from the start of our communication he promised that as a solo female hiker, my experience with them will be safe and smooth and he will assign a guide who will best suit my requirements – he kept his promise. Elias was personally at the airport to receive me with his driver on my arrival. During the pre-hike briefing, Elias mentioned that the top 2 promises will be: 1st – my safety & 2nd – fulfill my dream to summit. I was assigned a group of 7 crew members – Lead Guide: William, Chef: Priva, Porters: Good Chance, Frankie, Sulupis, Riziki and Arnold. Throughout the 8days, his team lived up to his 2 promises. I cannot thank this team enough for taking good care of me in the mountain. They took care of everything and I had nothing to worry about but to put one foot in front of the other day after day. Seeing me struggle with my backpack on steep uphill trails, William helped carry my backpack. He need not have done that but the fact that he did that everyday, makes him special. He was very patient with my slow hike and his helping hands were always there to help & assist me during tough moments. Despite some hard days with steep uphill hikes + summit day, I was very happy on the mountain. I was breathing fresh air, I walked through breathtaking scenery. Ate delicious food cooked by Priva. Its amazing how he can set up the kitchen mid-way through the hike and cook hot lunch for me on Day 2 and Day 4. I thought that a sandwich lunchbox would have been an easier option for 1 person. A BIG THANK YOU to all the porters who went all out to make sure I was comfortable throughout. Each day, 2 of the porters will walk back after setting up the campsite to take my backpack and walk with us back to the camp. Again, they need not have done this as once they get to the campsite – its their time to rest but they took turns to come back to us. I rented the sleeping bag from Nafika and it kept me warm throughout the night each day. I was also given a walk in tent with a dining table but I ate all my meals at the Kitchen tent with the guide and porters and only got to my tent to sleep & change. Portable toilet was the best thing to get and from Day 2 onwards the team made the best decision to put the toilet inside my tent which made it easier (didn’t have to go out in the freezing cold at night). We all get to Mount Kili with a big dream to summit but now that I have lived my dream, I can say none of us can achieve it without the guide and porters. They hold the best job – they make dreams come true. In regards to tipping, pls do bring extra cash with you – you might want to tip more after you experience how they go all out to make you comfortable and do everything to fulfill your dream. This was a dream that I had for 10years and I cannot thank Elias, William, Priva, Good Chance, Frankie, Sulupis, Rizki & Arnold enough for making it happen. The experience to the roof of Africa was the most worthwhile challenge I have ever undertaken but as I now look back, it was the journey through the 8 days with the guide & porters during each hike day and the memories made in the kitchen tent playing cards, sharing jokes and stories and laughter that will make my heart smile on this amazing journey. Sometimes, its all these small memories that will cover larger part of our hearts. THANK YOU NAFIKA TOURS.

Exceptional service During Hiking Kilimanjaro with Local Nafika Tours - My wife and I have booked a 7-day Lemosho route with Nafika Tours. It was an extraordinary experience we will never forget. The organization of the trip by Nafika Tours was excellent, from the communication before we arrived in Tanzania, the accommodations before and after the trek, the equipment provided( tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mattresses) the quality of food during the trek, and most importantly, the dedication of our team members who made our successful climb to the summit possible. We were accompanied by 9 wonderful young people dedicated to their work. The climb started from Lemosho gate through a beautiful rainforest where we were serenaded by bird songs and encountered monkeys. As we progressed, we traversed valleys, climbed steep cliffs, and witnessed increasingly majestic landscapes. The night before the summit attempt, we felt as excited as before an examination, but thanks to the guidance and support from our team leaders Willium and Eli, we successfully reached Uhuru peak. We want to emphasize the crucial role of mountain guides in climbing Kilimanjaro. The right pace is essential key for success, and our guides, Willium and Eli, are simply the best at their hard and extremely responsible job. With them, we felt completely safe and confident. They even carried a bottle of oxygen for any emergency, demonstrating Nafika Tours' commitment to safety. Thank you very much, Nafika Tours! We highly recommend the company and its ever-smiling owner Elias to all hikers who want to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoy the journey.

Kilimanjaro climbing with Nafika Tours , Everything was the best! - I highly recommend Nafika Tours. My 2 friend and I were looking to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, and Elias was incredibly helpful in answering a ton of questions about everything, from choosing the best route to deciding on the number of days that would suit us best. In the end, we went with the 7-day Lemosho Route. The organization was extremely efficient, from pick-ups to briefing, equipment hire, tents, hotels, and travel arrangements. However, the best part was yet to come with the trek itself, and huge thanks go to the crew who helped us reach Uhuru Peak. I can unequivocally say that we would never have made it without their support, encouragement, and help—they truly went above and beyond. A special shout out goes to our guides Justin and Albert, who supported us along the way and especially on summit day. All of this was led by Justin, who is simply the BEST guide, along with the rest of the support team including the cook and porters. We will never forget our experience on the mountain. Thank you for making our dream a reality and giving us such incredible memories. Stay fresh, guys—Asante Sana. I highly recommend Nafika Tours for anyone planning to visit Tanzania.

7 Day Kilimanjaro hike Lemosho route with Nafika Tours - Having decided to run the Kilimanjaro Marathon, considered hiking the Kilimanjaro mountain. Made a shortlist of tour operators for the hike after pouring over various reviews and going over their respective web sites. The four companies short listed responded quickly with their offer. Decided to go with Nafika Tours for the following reasons: 1. The company is owned and operated by local people who live in and around Moshi. Even though most companies claim ‘local’, they seem to be employing local people while the ownership is in different parts of the world. 2. It appeared that Nafika also diverts part of their income to support couple of local schools. 3. Customer reviews were generally great for all the four shortlisted operators. However one could see that the Nafika tour clients went to great lengths to write in detail of their wonderful experience. 4. Once I connected with Elias, CEO on WhatsApp, the comfort level increased dramatically. Originally it was a solo trip but eventually my brother and son too joined. We are in good shape physically – I would say above average, ages ranging from 34 to 66. We are avid runners and hikers. All of us agreed that this was the toughest activity we have yet undertaken. The hike from base camp to submit was very tough physically and mentally. We managed to reach the summit only because of the guides and the support team. 1. During the submit climb, we were the only group who didn’t carry our day packs. Our guides insisted on carrying it for us. In the end it made a huge difference. 2. Whenever we wanted to take a sip of water, hot water was readily available in a flask. 3. We decided to walk all the way down to the gate in one day and cut the trip down to 6 days instead of 7. We were so tired and were very slow. William the main guide and his team stayed right behind us for the whole walk down. “GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND”, “GOING THE EXTRA MILE WITH A SMILE” best summarizes our experience with Nafika tours. When we plan our next Tanzania visit (for a safari), we wouldn’t even consider another tour company. Thank you Nafika, you guys made our Tanzania experience an incredible one

Kilimanjaro climbing lemosho Route and Safari - Nafika Tours is the best choice for your adventure in Kilimanjaro or Tanzania. They provide reliable, stress-free, and excellent service from start to finish. We are really grateful to have found Nafika Tours, a local company that not only offers top-notch service but also stands out for being kind, experienced, hospitable, and having reasonable prices. The Nafika Tours team works together with one goal - reaching the top without stopping! We picked Nafika Tours because we wanted to support a local business. We did the 8-day Lemosho climb and a 5-day Safari (Tarangure, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro) with perfect weather. If you're unsure about which Kilimanjaro route to take, the Lemosho route is beautiful and helps you acclimate well – climb high, sleep low. Highly recommend it! Here are the top 3 reasons why choosing Nafika Tours is a great idea: 1.Reliable, Safe, and Experienced Crew: Elias and his crew are highly experienced, making us feel extremely safe in Tanzania. The camping equipment was good quality, and our guides, Willium and Danieli, were experienced and patient. Willium checked our gear thoroughly before the climb. They guided us from Day 1, giving advice, daily medical checkups, and even helped with our bags on summit day. Hilary, our safari guide, with over 10 years of experience, is a go-to guide for safaris. He's very knowledgeable about the animal kingdom and fulfilled all our requests. 2. Excellent Service and Personalized Experience: Choosing Nafika Tours meant getting a personalized customer experience. Elias is responsive and helpful, providing advice and helping us plan our Kilimanjaro climb and Safari. As Elias started as a porter, became a guide, and is now the owner, he knows everything about traveling in Tanzania. The mountain crew exceeded our expectations, finding the best spots for our tents away from the crowd. Chef Priva's cooking was excellent, and waiter Frank was fun and caring. We even learned Swahili and the Jambo Kilimanjaro song along the way! 3. Affordable Price Point: Nafika Tours is transparent about pricing, offering an affordable and fair quotation compared to other companies. Supporting the local community we got more than expected in terms of quality and service. A big thanks to Elias, Willium, Daniel, Priva, Frank, and the crew for making our dreams come true and showing us your beautiful country. Choosing Nafika Tours was the best decision, and we have no regrets! Wishing you all the best, and hoping our paths cross again in the future! :)

Kilimanjaro climbing with Nafika, Everything was outstanding - I went up Kilimanjaro with Nafika Tours at the beginning of the month, and it was an amazing experience, all thanks to the awesome guides and porters! Our lead guide, Daniel, was really good at his job, knew a lot, cared about us, and was kind. Jonathan, who cooked for us, even made two cakes—one for my birthday and another to celebrate our success at the end! The porters went out of their way to help us and make sure we had everything we needed at the campsites. Summit night was tough, but Daniel's patience, strength, and kindness helped me reach the top just in time for a beautiful sunrise! The whole experience was fantastic, and I want to give a huge thank you to the Nafika Team! They made it all possible.

A hike of a life-time - The entire trip was amazing, from the pre-booking experience, the airport pick up, the hotel, the hike and the post-hike experience, everything was perfectly taken care of. I recommend doing the Kilimanjaro hike with Nafika if you're looking for a perfectly-organized trip without worries and concerns while supporting a locally-owned company. The owner Elias, the guides Johnson and Evord, the chef and all porters were incredible friendly and motivating and really ensure that the trip will be a success. They check the equipment beforehand and you can rent all necessary equipment at reasonable costs. The food was outstanding, it is impressive to see what they can do at that altitude. I will definitely book another hike with Nafika Tours and so should you :-)
