Additional Information

We are devoted paddlers, spreading our love for the sport, blending enjoyment, education, and an understanding of the river and its environment. We provide individual care to our clients who feel incredibly safe and enjoy our tours that are tailored to their energy levels and capabilities.

You’ll have the experience to paddle double kayaks to and from Kilkenny, viewing historical structures that embellish the city’s skyline.

The tour may involve white water paddling over a weir, and playing in the rapids, if that appeals to you. If you’d rather stay dry, that’s entirely up to you, and we’ll supply over-trousers to keep you substantially dry. If you’d like, one of our guides can paddle the double kayak with you for additional stability to optimize your safety and pleasure.

Notable sights include Kilkenny Castle, The Tholsel, St Francis Abbey, the former Smithwick’s Brewery, and St Canice’s Cathedral. Learn about the significance of the Nore for Kilkenny and its milling history spanning centuries.

Sea Kayak Training and Trips - I thoroughly enjoyed my sea kayak training and trips on the coast with Roger, he's an excellent instructor and wealth of knowledge. The Copper Coast is a stunning part of Ireland and well worth a visit with Riverbend Adventures.
