My highest recommendation ... - Pat did an awesome job bringing to life the history of Kilkenny - from the Norman conquest to the rule of the merchant class. And of course the political power of the Catholic Church was always a factor. An authentic presentation that was interesting and informative.

Really fun tour of an interesting Irish town! - Great tour of Kilkenny. We learned so much from Pat and were talking about his stories the rest of the trip. He blends history with some of his own observations from living in Kilkenny, as well as stories from his dad and other relatives. Would recommend!

Great stories about medieval history of Kilkenny. Church and rich merchants in town - A great impressive Story about the Medieval history of Kilkenny. Pat knows his facts, has a nice way of telling them. My history teacher couldn't have don it better. Pat has sold his hearth to the town of Kilkenny. You have to be patienced and interested in such long entertaining stories, but then you have a great tour.

Perfect Tour if you want to learn a lot about Kilkennys history in a fun way! - Great Tour with Pat. He is so enthusiastic about Kilkenny, that we had a great time listening and got lots of interesting stories about the City. We can absolutely recommend the Tour with Pat!

Pat is a great guide! - We recently spent two weeks driving around the entire island of Ireland, and this tour was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Pat really, really knows his stuff and presents a great deal of information in a way that is engaging and fun. We left his tour feeling like we knew everything there was possible to know about Kilkenny and its place in Ireland’s history. Do not miss this one!

Pat is a super passionate, animated and gifted storyteller. This tour is a must. - Pat Moylan brings the history of Kilkenny to life with his exuberance, passion, knowledge and also ability to interact with those in his tour.
In this modern age if AI, audio visual equipment, etc...there aren't many tour guides who could keep 4 kids ( and an adult) so completely engaged in a walking tour...but Pat not only did this- but he instilled a passion in my children to learn more about the history of kilkenny.
As someone who grew up in Kilkenny, i have often done walking tours of kilkenny City...but I had never heard all the extra, super interesting addendums to many of the stories...which seemed to have been redacted from more conservative/ conventional tours of Kilkenny.
Filling all the gaps in these stories only goes to show me how little human nature has changed... and how unfortunately so many man made institutions have used power, money, bribery and blackmail as the modus operandi...possibly since the inception of these institutions.
Pat is a gifted storyteller.

Pat is the gem of Kilkenny - Pat is a charismatic and engaging speaker and tour leader who kept us interested and entertained for two hours straight. His stories were so detailed and really made the beautiful town of Kilkenny come alive. This is an amazing tour!
