Learn about Killarney with a local expert - Mary picked me up at my hotel at 8 a.m. so that we could drive the Gap of Dunloe before the single track road became clogged with "jaunty" carts. It was a perfect Irish morning -- intermittent drizzle with the sun peaking through the clouds occasionally. We periodically stopped so that I could take photos or simply to enjoy the absolute quiet and peace (and for the sheep!). After we left the mountains, we visited sites in and around Killarney National Park, including Muckross Abbey and Muckross House. Mary's knowledge of Irish history and folklore go beyond the Chamber of Commerce talking points on the region's landmarks.

Explore Killarney and its surroundings with Mary - It was really a pleasure to be guided by Mary who speaks French very well (the local language can be difficult to understand with the local accent...). Mary also knew how to adapt the program to our interests: teach us a lot in a single half day about the living conditions in Killarney, the history of the area, and also make us discover great places around -> Muckross House and its Abbey, the landscapes of the National Park (Gap of Dunloe, Ladies view...). Really a beautiful day, we definitely recommend ...

Best port tour ever with Mary G--Beara to Killarney and back - We loved every second of our tour with Mary G. We are a family of 3 and Mary picked us up at Bantry in her lovely auto and we toured the beautiful Gouggane Barra to Killarney--wonderful sights and driven carefully and expertly. Amazing views including mountains, waterfalls, beaches and cliffs. She knew it all and shared it with enthusiam, knowledge and love for Ireland. We then toured her hometown and castle gardens in Killarney where we had a lovely lunch. Mary then took us back to the Bantry Port via the Healy Pass which allowed us different scenery than the route in the morning. She is a superior tour guide, light hearted and told us wonderful stories while sharing history. We recommend her highly for any tour she gives in Ireland. What a special person she is!

You can't go wrong with Mary! - We actually had 4 days of private tours with Mary: 1) Ring of Kerry, 2) Beara Peninsula, 3) Dingle Peninsula, 4) Killarney National Park, Muckross, Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall, Killarney House and museum, town of Killarney, Gap of Dunloe.
We saw so much more in these 4 days than we ever could have any other way. There's no way we could have driven those roads ourselves, plus Mary knew all of the best places to stop for views, photo ops, food, and most importantly-clean bathrooms! :)
Having Mary as your guide is like having a close friend or family member show you the best their area has to offer, but without any of the family drama. She was prompt, friendly, and very accommodating. I recommend Mary to anyone who wants to get a more local, in-depth view and understanding of this spectacular part of Ireland. My only wish is that she had provided us with a list of all the stops so I could remember the names better. We saw so much!

Mary's tour of Killarney and Killarney National Park is something everyone should do. - Mary took me and a friend on an absolutely amazing tour of Killarney and the Killarney National Park. She is engaging, humorous, energetic, extremely interested in her work, and knowledgeable about Killarney and Killarney National Park. Furthermore, she was happy to answer our questions; for example, she answered our questions about how health insurance works in Ireland. The tour through the mountains and valley in the national park was amazing. Also, while we toured the Park, it started snowing, which apparently is quite unusual in Ireland. One of the highlights was exploring a ruined abbey with her. She never rushed us. She is a well traveled and educated person, for example, she lived in France for 12 years and recently earned a degree in genealogy. For her thesis, she documented the life of an Irishwoman had not received the recognition that she should have. She arrived on time at our hotel, the International Hotel Killarney, and has a comfortable car, i.e., a Mercedes.

Great guide, saw a lot - Mary was an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge of the area and history. She has been in the tour business for a very long time. She was able to fit in a lot in this 3 hour tour that may not have been possible if we had gone during peak season. Very comfortable ride for me and my 18 yo daughter. Beautiful inner Ring of Kerry tour even though it was cold and rainy. Would highly recommend Mary.

Touring in December with Mary! - You can’t go wrong spending the day with Mary! Traveled for two days with college age boys, and Mary kept them interested the whole time! She is a wealth of information, lovely personality, makes you feel like you have known her forever. We had little issues with winter weather, but Mary was able to still find those hidden gems to visit. Highly recommend the Killarney and the Dingle tours with Mary, you won’t regret it!

Beara, Cork and Kerry with Mary G - I wanted to explore my Irish roots in Beara and see the beauties of Southwest Ireland. Each step of the way, Mary G took tender, loving care of my wife and I. Of course she was full of information and an excellent driver. She also was charming, delightful and very funny. We truly loved every minute we spent with her.

Avoid the crowds with Mary! - Mary showed us a wonderful time around Killarney National Park! She packed a lot into the 4 hour tour and accommodated our pace. Note that no cars are allowed into the national park, so there will be a lot of walking and just driving along the edge of the park, which is beautiful. I only mention it in case anyone is expecting a drive through the park. The drive is wonderful and the places Mary chooses to share are spectacular. Definitely worth the walk and nothing strenuous. Mary is also a wealth of information having grown up near the park and a guide for many years. The 4 of us were a little squished in Mary’s sedan, so it might not be comfortable for groups of four with larger or older members. Overall, a wonderful time had by all!!
