Highlights
  • Adare - We begin our journey from Killarney to Adare, where we’ll take a brief 30-minute coffee break. This will give you some time to appreciate the picturesque village, established in the 13th Century. The village overlooks the fording point of the River Maigue, from which it gets its name, “The Ford of the Oak” (Áth Dara). Situated just 18 kilometers southwest of Limerick city, Adare is celebrated as one of the most beautiful villages in Ireland.

  • Bunratty Castle and Folk Park - From Adare, we will head to Bunratty Castle, a 60-minute drive away. This large 15th-century tower house in County Clare, Ireland, is one of the most complete and authentic medieval castles in the country. Visit the castle, which features four towers, a great hall, a dungeon, and a chapel. You can explore various rooms and admire the 15th and 16th-century furnishings, tapestries, and artworks that evoke the medieval era. See the Bunratty Collection, the finest collection of medieval furniture in Ireland, including the famous Bunratty Throne and the Golden Vale Mace, symbols of the Earls of Thomond’s power and wealth. Stroll through the Bunratty Folk Park, a 26-acre park that recreates a 19th-century Irish village and rural setting. You can see various buildings such as farmhouses, cottages, shops, a school, a church, and a pub, and interact with costumed characters demonstrating traditional crafts and skills.

  • Cliffs of Moher - After enjoying the castle, we will head to the Cliffs of Moher, a one-hour drive away. These cliffs are one of Ireland’s most famous and stunning natural attractions, located on the west coast of County Clare, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Here are some reasons to visit them: They offer breathtaking views of the sea, sky, and surrounding landscape, including the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, and the Twelve Bens mountains on a clear day. They are home to a rich diversity of plants and animals, including seabirds like puffins, guillemots, and fulmars nesting on the cliffs or flying over the water, as well as dolphins, whales, seals, and sharks in the ocean below. They have a fascinating history and culture, which you can learn about at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, an eco-friendly center that blends into the landscape. After visiting the cliffs, we will drive back to Killarney, a three-hour journey.

We recommend Kris - Kris was very knowledgeable on the area. He was very professional and gave us information about the scenery but also gave us quiet time to enjoy the scenery. We traveled from Killarney to Galway, with a stop at the Cliffs of Mohr.
