- Kyaiktiyo Pagoda - At 05:30 AM, depart from your hotel in Yangon and embark on an overland journey to Kin Pun “base camp” of Golden Rock (110 miles – 4 hours) and then proceed to Kyaiktiyo (the “Golden Rock”), a massive boulder entirely covered in gold leaves and precariously perched on a cliff’s edge. - Kyaiktiyo Pagoda - At 05:30 AM, depart from your hotel in Yangon and embark on an overland journey to Kin Pun “base camp” of Golden Rock (110 miles – 4 hours) and then proceed to Kyaiktiyo (the “Golden Rock”), a massive boulder entirely covered in gold leaves and precariously perched on a cliff’s edge. Arrive at Kim Pun Base Camp around noon. Upon arrival at Kim Pun Base Camp at approximately 10:00 AM, take an open truck to reach the mountaintop pagoda. Once at the top, visit the Golden Rock Pagoda and take photos. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant along the way.
- Shwemawdaw Paya - After lunch, depart from Kyaikhto and return to Yangon via Bago. Make a brief stop in Bago to visit the magnificent Shwemawdaw Pagoda, which is over a thousand years old.
- Shwethalyaung Buddha - Its spire is even taller than that of Yangon’s Shwedagon Pagoda. The 55-meter-long reclining Shwe Thalyaung Buddha Image is one of the country’s most venerated objects. Continue the drive to Yangon, with a short stop at Kyaik Pun Pagoda, known for its four giant Buddha statues. Drive back to Yangon.

- As you will be visiting religious sites, please wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees, and remember to take off your shoes and socks when entering pagoda areas.
- This tour is not available during the Water Festival between 12 to 18 Apr. During this time, everything in town is closed: restaurants, shops, markets, Museum, etc. Driving through Yangon is extremely difficult if not impossible because people celebrate the famous water-festival. You cannot avoid of getting very wet because everyone throws water at everybody. People drive through the city in open cars and there are stages along the street where people throw water. Everybody going up will get very wet.
- Due to road conditions, travel in this region is not recommended during the monsoon season (June - September).
