Authentic Reggae Music and Culture Tour - We had an amazing day with Marie and Donovan on a personalized and customized version of this tour. We hit many of the included spots as well as some local record shops and historic reggae music sites. The museum tours were educational and very well done with reverence to the reggae artists and culture. It was clear that Marie and Donovan have a deep love and appreciation for Kingston and want to share an authentic experience with their guests, and make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. Marie also kept us on a tight schedule to ensure we saw everything we wanted while being mindful of our time constraints. Ask questions and ask for additional recommendations for food, music, and entertainment and I'm sure they will point you in the right direction, highlighting local gems you may not otherwise know about. By the end of our tour we felt like we had made quick new friends that we wouldn't hesitate to call up on a return visit. Thank you Marie and Donovan for a fantastic day!

A Must Do Tour when visiting Jamaica! - Thank you Marie and Donovan for a wonderful day spent exploring and discovering the history of Jamaican music. While most people come to Jamaica to soak in the sun and listen to and learn more about Bob Marley, our one day customized tour provided an opportunity to greatly enhance our knowledge of Jamaican music by taking us to the roots of where it all began, with an excellent and highly recommended tour of the Bunny Lee Museum and Recording studio, then a trip to Trench Town and several visits to local record stores in Kingston before ending the tour at Bob Marley’s house. Marie’s enthusiasm and her genuine love of Jamaican culture and music did not go unnoticed. We really got an appreciation and understanding of the artists, producers and other key people who were instrumental and influential in developing and creating the music of Jamaica from the beginning. During the interactive tour of the Bob Marley house we discovered no matter what you think you know about Bob Marley you will be blown away by what you don’t know. An added bonus for us was meeting one of the Marley’s while strolling the grounds. From a musical perspective and cultural experience this tour is a must! I would be remiss not to mention our driver Donovan whose personality, kindness and friendliness greatly added to the tour. Matthew and Winsome Vancouver, Canada

Great Tour and Caring Hosts! - We spent the day with Onestop Cultural Tours Jamaica immersed in music and culture. This tour EXCEEDED my expectations! One stand out part of the itinerary was the Bunny "Striker" Lee museum and studio. The guide was quite informative and provided a hands on experience for us. Marie and Donovan are very hospitable and took the time to connect with me and my daughters. They also provided lots of context about each neighborhood we drove through and I can tell that they truly care about Jamaica and all of the shop owners/museum staff we interacted with. The stop by Trench Town was moving and of course the Bob Marley museum was incredible! We also popped by Rocker International Records to take a photo with the owner that we had shopped with the day before. Onestop Cultural Tours Jamaica is a caring team that will make your time in Kingston unforgettable. We are looking forward to spending the with them later this week for an adventure in Ocho Rios.

Seeing Kingston Through Its Music – Unforgettable Day - This was the tour we were most excited about during our trip to Kingston. As music lovers, visiting the many musical landmarks and institutions the city is famous for was an absolute must for us. I contacted Marie in advance, and my husband put together a list of places he had always dreamed of visiting. Marie encouraged us to include the Bunny Lee Museum as part of our day, and we are so glad we listened. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire tour for two main reasons: the experience itself was exceptional and took us to another fascinating part of Kingston, and one of our guides there, Uncle Chris, who introduced himself so warmly, ended up spending much of the day with us. He truly enriched the experience tenfold with his knowledge, stories, and passion. Marie and Donovan made sure we got to as many landmarks as possible, and everything was well organised. We even stopped for some Ital food at an authentic roadside café on Orange Street, which was absolutely delicious and added to the authenticity of the day. If you are a music lover who has always dreamed of visiting the famous studios and spaces connected to your favourite reggae artists and producers, this tour is an absolute must. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Kingston.

Brilliant - This was an excellent tour ,my love of reggae music was fulfilled . The Bunny Lee museum is a must visit. Stepped back in time ,looking at the life of the legendary producer. Trench Town tour guide gave a unique insight to the tenement yard & over view of Bob Marley’s earlier life. The tip to down town Kingston to explore the amazing murals on Waterfront Streets and the Music history of Orange Street. The food at Ibo spice was full nourishment . Wonderful and safe.

Must see tour of Bunny Lee Recording Studio and Trench Town Culture Yard - Our second day with Marie & Donovan we had a guided tour of the Bunny Lee Museum & Recording Studio. I was familiar with the name of the record producer Bunny “Striker” Lee but I had no idea how much he impacted the sound of reggae. Now when I hear reggae I hear all the elements that Bunny created. Our tour guide Chris was wonderful! Chris provided so much information about Bunny and history about the studio, the murals, the instruments, and all the awesome artists that passed through Bunny’s studio. Our next stop was Trench Town! The birth place of Reggae. The murals on the street were beautiful and vibrant! We felt pretty safe. Marie and Donovan brought us to the mural that was created for the one love movie. Then to another mural on the famous 1st Street. The tour at Trench Town Culture Yard was awesome! Our tour guide provided a lot of history about the development of trench town & Bob Marley’s time when he lived there along with other reggae artists. It was pretty cool to sit in Bob’s first car! Afterwards we went to get authentic Jamaican food from Jackie’s Fingerlicking Restaurant. Really good food and loved the natural juices. We stopped on Orange St and Charles St to see more murals and we stopped at Rockers International Record Shop. It was a really great day!

Enthusiastic tour guides with ambitious tour with many stops, but a few stops missed. - We booked last minute on-line due to uncertainty caused by the recent hurricane. Marie was very communicative in the run up so everything felt safe and on the up-and-up. Pick-up and drop-off punctual thanks to Donovan’s excellent driving. Ambitious tour with many stops so it was hard to make it to everything. The Bunny Lee Museum was an unexpected surprise with a great in-house tour guide. Tuff Gong was closed this season and we unfortunately didn’t have enough to go into the yard in Trench Town, we were by the gate though. The Bob Marley museum closed unexpectedly to do relief work so we caught it the next day. But as a bonus we did the mural walk down-town and went to Lee ”Scratch” Perry’s Black Ark Studio. The best meal we had in Jamaica was this day at Ibo, an ital restaurant. Marie is good at finding and supporting local businesses. She organized a driver who stayed with us all evening as we visited the Sunday Dub Club - the highlight of our Kingston stay. Good to note well is that entrance fees are not included in the tour price, so if you are a family of four, like we are, things add up quickly.
