We survived the trail - Very difficult hiking - glad I accepted a walking staff from the guide. I’m in excellent condition but the slick mud and tall steps in many places made the footing treacherous. The guide gave very interesting facts about the vegetation and the island. There just was a lot of difficult terrain so I couldn’t look around to enjoy my surroundings. If it hadn’t had rained the paths would have been much easier to handle.
