A must stop in Kinsale! - I love seeing behind the scenes and learning about processes and history and have experienced all that today. We also really enjoyed learning all history and things about mead and honey and trying different meads. All art around the place was also very nice to look at, one hint - I would love to see front room with bar painted black, think all mead bottles and art would stand out more with dark background! All together very interesting and enjoyable, well done on great business with culture background.

Mead comes back to Ireland - Excellent tour, even better mead. Wonderful array of flavors, all were well made balanced and good drinking. Not your next door neighbor's mead! Pro tip, get a taxi to the address, it’s not an easy walk from town center, significant climb up a steep hill. Taxi to Lidl grocery store and Kinsale Mead Co. is right behind it.

Great visit, great time - It was a very friendly and welcoming establishment. We arrived 15 minutes before closing, and they still took the time to go through their different kinds of mead. Oh, it's also the only mead brewing company in Ireland.

Newly converted mead drinkers! - We saw an ad about the Kinsale Mead co and mead tasting, so we decided to check it out. We're so glad that we did! They're really friendly, down to earth and share their stories of how mead is produced and how they source their honey. We got to taste the different honey they use and once the tour is finished, you try out different mead. Our favourite was the mead aged in the whiskey and bourbon barrels respectively ... so much so that we bought two bottles each :) We didn't drive there - we walked up from the town (you get a great workout going up the hill and stairs!) :) Highly recommend visiting the Kinsale Mead Co - it's the only mead producer in Ireland!

Best discovery! - The tour is really interesting! From the history of the mead to its industrialization within the Kinsale Mead Co, Denis is happy to explain to us all. I went alone to do the mead tour and tests, but I didn't feel isolated at all. We were able to test the honeys used for the mead produced by Dénis and Kate's company. Honeys which are the main ingredients of every alcoholic beverage sold. Denis explains the process of making mead and then shows us where it is fermented. He also made us test a mead during fermentation, which is very interesting and tasty. I highly recommend it because it's really a very good discovery and it's an alcohol that is of Irish origin and produced in Kinsale. If you are visiting Kinsale this business must be a MUST!!
