Wonderful Hike up Mt Batur - Excellent trip to climb Mt Batur. Driver Rudi and Guide Alex were great, in particular for being kind to and helping my daughter who joined me for her first hike. Recommended

Sunset hike Mt Batur - It was a beautiful sunset hike with our gide Yus. Perfect timing for the sunset and a safe descent. Very kind of our guide to make boiled eggs in the heat of the vulcano!

Beautiful sunset hike without crowds! - We decided to do the afternoon hike because we had heard horror stories of the crowds climbing Mt Batur in the morning - absolutely the best decision! Our driver Aji picked us up at 1pm and after a complementary visit of a coffee plantation we went up the mountain with our legendary guide Nik, just in time for sunset! There were very few people on top and the sunset views are incredible. If you want a unique experience away from the crowds, this is your tour.

Lovely Hike Up - The view was amazing and we had a lovely hike up. Guide Yus was great too. Would recommend if you’re looking for a scenic view steeply immersed in Bali culture.

Nearly no tourists and e great view at the Sunset Tour - Yoga was a very good and level-headed driver and even managed the narrow winding roads on Mount Batur very well. Yus was the best guide we could have imagined! The hike was definitely harder than we thought it would be, as you walk up a very steep path of sand and scree for the most part, which is very easy to slip on. So if you have taken hiking boots with you to Bali, I would definitely recommend wearing them. Yus looked after us and told us to take our time. There were benches to take a break at several points along the way, which we definitely needed. My partner and I do sport several times a week and were still very out of breath and sweaty. Yus took several pictures of us in front of a great view. We were delighted when we reached the top and were able to enjoy the wonderful view. Apart from the two of us, there were 5 other tourists and two guides up there, nobody else. We were told that there are several hundred people on the mountain in the morning and that it is very crowded. That's why I was very happy to have done the sunset tour. The view remains the same and you can even climb the mountain in daylight. At the top, we had a small evening meal including mandarins, bananas, toast, a chocolate bar and eggs cooked in the steam of the volcano. We talked and laughed a lot with Yus and the other guides. The way down was quicker but not easy either, as it was very easy to slip. Halfway down, we had to get out our flashlights, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see anything. Thanks to the flashlights, however, we could still see the way down very well. All in all, we had a great trip with a fantastic view and recommend taking the sunset tour due to the low number of tourists.

fantastic activity, stunning views - We had a lovely time with our driver Aji and guide Nik. The mountain was so peaceful and stunning views at the top despite some cloud coverage. Communication was top notch. The hike is somewhat challenging but so worth it.

Loved our sunset hike - Loved our time trekking Mt Batur with Yus. As it was a sunset hike we had the mountain to ourselves. We were unlucky with thick cloud coverage but that didn’t matter because Yus ensured we enjoyed ourselves regardless, he was a lovely man and his English was great. Hike was challenging in places (we wore trainers which probably didn’t have the best grip but it was still do-able), especially on the way down but he ensured we were safe and provided head lamps and assistance where required. Our driver Aji was also great and navigated the crazy Bali roads with ease.
