Best Sunrise in Bali - Getting up early was really worth it. We have been picked up from Lovina, and taken to the starting point. There we met our fantastic guide JATA. He took us to Mt. Batur and escorted back. Has fully adjusted to our speed, and explained a lot, showed and reserved a good place at sunrise. He also prepared us a fantastic breakfast. All in one a wonderful, very strenuous trip.

Carik is the best! - It was an amazing tour. Our guide, Carik is also a photographer. He parked the jeep to have the best views, took a few photos and videos, and made a short movie with a background music. Certainly unforgettable experience captured in video to remind us of marvelous time.
If you book a tour, make sure he is guide. It makes a difference.

Amazing experience! A must for any Bali traveler - We had an amazing trip with our guide Oman!
We were picked up at our hotel early at 2AM, from where we had a comfortable ~1h ride to the starting point of the Mt. Batur hike. After arriving we were greeted with coffee and tea, and we met our super guide Oman. Everything had the vibe of a local get-togeter with a friendly atmosphere. After this we headed out to be in time for the sunrise. If you are a little sportsy like us the walk will be a breeze, but if not it is still very doable climb with lots of stops on the way. After a good hike under the stars we arrived at the summit with plenty of time to spare, where Oman got us breakfast. When the sun slowly came up we were treated with a stunning scenery with beautiful vibrant colours. Our guide turned out to also be a fantastic photographer, helping us to the epic images you will find attached. Just after sunrise Oman took us to the crater rim, where smoke billowed from deep in the vulcano, and then took us around the crater with a beautiful panorama view of the valleys below. With a quick hike down the mountain we were back at the car, still in disbelief over the amazing views we had just witnessed. A pleasant car ride back to the hotel later we were back around 9AM. Can't recommend the above experience enough to anyone visiting Bali! :)

LOVING THIS SOLO HIKE! - Booking was seamless. Details shared over the website was clear enough and self explanatory.
I opted for the private tour instead of shared tour due to my time constraint and I like to have time flexibility to either go fast/slow.
Driver was Pak Gus and he was on time. Very helpful and insightful. He kept in touch before the pickup day.
Guide was Jata a soft spoken guy who can be quirky. He was very insightful, super helpful, shared some useful hiking tips. MOST importantly he captures amazing shots, he definitely knows his assignment. I think to any content creators out there who travels solo, should definitely book with Bagus and request for Jata. You wont be dissapointed. He will bring you to all the hotspots to take photos immediately. My experience at the peak was a literal photoshoot 😂 He even directed for all the video contents shot which is amazing! He made all contents look effortless and candid! He shared the volcano history, explained the topography. Overall its an amazing experience. Oh he even gave a ride up til where his bike could go (bonus point)

Great hike, will return - I did the Mt. Batur sunrise tour. Booking was easy from the website directly, but can also be done on Tripadvisor. I was coming in from Amed, which does take a long time (2.5 hours one way). I would recommend doing the tour from Ubud instead. Pickup was at 1.30 am and arrival was at 4 am. I met my guide (Tana). He gave me a hiking pole and headlamp. Apparently usually they start around 3.30 am. In late October, the sunrise happens around 5.50 am. In order to make up a few minutes of time, we took his scooter for the initial flat portion of the hike and saved about 15-20 minutes. We kept up a steady pace and reached the top in 1 hour and 15 minutes. But this is a relatively tough hike with a steep grade throughout. At the top, there's a small kitchen and I had a steamed banana sandwich (quite nice), a banana and a coffee (they also serve a boiled egg and a chocolate bar). Initially when we reached the top there was dense cloud cover. It's almost the rainy season and this can happen around this time of year - so have realistic expectations. At the actual sunrise time, we couldn't see much but about 30-45 minutes after sunrise, things started to clear a bit and we got some great views. The hike down was much easier, although having good hiking shoes is essential because the soil is dry, loose and gravel-like in many places and I could see many hikers slip and slide, both on the way up and, more so, on the way down. This was a private tour so it was just my guide Tana and myself. Tana is a great guide. Very easy to talk to, loves nature and hiking. I really enjoyed the conversation, which made this an even more pleasant experience. He even shared some of the amazing photos he's taken from the mountain.
To summarize, this was a great hike and the guide Tana was wonderful.
Things to bear in mind for tourists/feedback for the company: I don't recommend starting from Amed or other places far away. Do this tour from Ubud instead. Check driving times to the starting point carefully. If starting from Amed, pickup time should be 1.00 am not 1.30 am. As you get closer to the rainy season, clouds may crash your party... But c'est la vie - you can't control nature! Maybe I'll come back in June some other time!

Excellent local hiking company - I was solo travelling in Bali when I found this tour and highly recommend it. I don't like hiking in groups so I opted to do the private tour, the sunrise trek at Mt Batur. My driver was Wayan and he was punctual, kind, and drove very safely.
My guide was Kadek (Don) and he was fantastic from start to finish. He was really kind and helpful, and made sure we went at my pace the whole time and that I was okay. He also told me a lot about the local culture and was generally very easy to talk to.
A headlamp is provided so don't worry if you don't have one. So is water, and breakfast. But honestly, the best part of this company is the people. If you can, take a tip for the driver and guide. Thank you Kadek and Wayan!

Best activity with the best guide. Thank you Tana - One of the best activities we did in Bali. The hours may seem unappealing, but it is totally worth it. We also had the best guide, Tana who was extremely friendly and helpful, answering our questions throughout the trip and he was speaking really good English as well and a really kind driver as well.
