Fantastic experience up Mt Batur - Fantastic experience! Travelled in a small group with Sentana as our driver; he was very friendly, on time and told me lots about Bali and its culture as we drove to pick up the rest. The hike up is a fairly hard one; I hike regularly and have been higher up, and would say you need a moderate fitness level to tackle this one, especially in time for sunrise. Our hiking guide Supri was great; the hike up wasn't a social one but Supri looked after everyone and made sure we stopped for water and rest breaks often enough. Once at top he was brilliant with looking after us, taking photos and ensuring we spent enough time taking in the views, the volcano and the monkeys! Even the sunrise itself was better than I expected during rainy season. Breakfast was basic but tasty. Afterwards I opted for the hot springs - the place was bigger than I expected with multiple pools and plenty of space to chill - defo a good combo with the hike. Would recommend the experience and both Sentana and Supri were great!

Great way to spend a morning in Bali with spectacular views - We booked to go on the Mount Batur Hike the night before, and we absolutely loved it! Our driver Dodi picked us up on time and provided a comfortable ride to the base location, where we had some coffee and offered extra bottles of water to take with us on the hike. They also had extra clothing available if you were cold for the beginning of the hike, though you will not stay cold for long! There were four of us in our group, and our guide, Mister was fantastic! He pointed out different scenery along the way, plants and trees, and offered for us to try some freshly growing chilli peppers (great flavour! Only hot for a minute or so). His English was great, and he answered all of our questions and provided great conversation and encouragement throughout. The hike itself is not for the faint hearted, it is an intense incline, rocky and soft ground at times but Mister helped me especially on the way down when it can be easy to slip, holding my hand and breaking off a tree branch for me to use as a walking pole. He offered multiple tests and walking breaks as well when he noticed us getting a bit tired. If you love getting a bit of a sweat out on holiday then this the hike for you! We also did do it quite fast, but if you’d like to take it a bit slower you will still make it on time for sunrise. We got to the top with time to spare and the view was spectacular, we were lucky that the visibility was great. We had a good breakfast of warm banana sandwich, a boiled egg, and some fresh lychee with coffee, tea, and Bintang available to buy. After this, Mister took us around the crater ridge at the top, taking great (and creative!) photos for us, and we were lucky enough to see some wild (not aggressive) monkeys. We made our way back down, where we were greeted by Dodi who drove us to the hot springs where we could relax for about 1.5 hours, before driving back to our accomodation. The hike up took us about 2 hours (we are both fit and were treating it as a competition 🤣) so it may take longer if you are wanting to stop and take in the scenery, and it was about 1.5 hrs down. Highly recommend, the hike is a special and unique experience and the hot springs were a great way to finish off the morning. Make sure to dress light or in layers you can take off, bring enough water, and some good sneakers. If you are unsure if you can handle the hike itself there are options to get a motorbike up (even if you start walking and then realise it is too hard!), you just have to walk the last 10 minutes or so to get to the crater. The jeep is also an option but it does not take you to the top. Overall great activity to spend a morning doing in Bali.

So happy and fulfilled - We throughly enjoyed our Mt Batur experience. Mudi and his sister Sari were so helpful and informative. Mudi was very supportive to people in our group that needed assistance to complete the climb to the top for the sunrise. It was so worth it, such a spectacular view, I would do it again for sure! Thank you Mudi and Sari for making our time in Ubud so memorable.

Challenging but rewarding - I went solo but was joined by a group of two others. It was nice not having too many people. The hike was definitely challenging, but worth it. My driver Wira was timely and very friendly. Lubak, the guide, was also very friendly and did a great job. I would highly recommend this trip.

Mount Batur hike - We enjoyed our hike up Mount Batur. We were collected early in the morning by our driver Putu in Canggu - he was very welcoming and kindly collected our spa tickets after the hike. The hike wasn’t too difficult so would be suitable for most people. Our guide Gede was friendly and cooked our breakfast as we waited for sunrise at the top. Although the sun was hiding behind a nearby mountain, we did have a lovely view of Kintamani lake as we ate breakfast.

Great experience! - a superb day to remember! Thank you to our driver and guide Andi and wikan for this day! Magic moment, breathtaking landscape! Breakfast very nice! Everything was great! The only point I could say is that I didn't enjoy the thermal waters as much, it's super touristy, there were a lot of people, if I had known that, I wouldn't have taken the option I think
