Amazing Jeep experience - It was truly a great experience throughout the trip. Our driver, Gede, is not only an experienced driver but also a good photographer. Definitely worth to go, and remember to bring warm jacket!!!

Well organised tour - The tour was very well run with all our drivers being on time and friendly despite the rainy weather. Our jeep driver Yoga took amazing photos of us at sunrise and made the drive as comfortable as possible! Would definitely recommend.

Mount Batur experience - It was an amazing experience. Such beautiful views and took so many great photos and enjoyed a warm simple breakfast with amazing sights. All thanks to Mk agus , komo & aji for making it a seamless and memorable experience. Its very cold please carry jackets to stay warm.

This activity is a gamble. If you want to have a good time, read my advice!! - Do you like to gamble? If so, this is the activity for you! Obviously you aren't guaranteed a good sunrise because it's impossible to look into the future, but the gambling begins when it comes down to whether or not the operator has the strength to cancel the trip because of rain and lightning. It says on the activity page that this activity requires good weather, and that poor weather can result in the cancellation of the activity, where you are offered an alternative day or full refund. The 4WD ride up the mountain is 5 minutes. Then, you wait over an hour in the cold (BRING WARM CLOTHES!!!) for a sunrise that may not be worth it. Now, before we got picked up from our hotel, it was raining profusely. I even said to my friend that I think they were going to cancel it because of the weather. Clearly, it was not cancelled. Once on the mountain, there was lightning (which was actually pretty cool) and it was raining. Now, depending on your Jeep or which company you choose to go up the mountain with, you may or may not have shelter. Unfortunately, this company's jeeps had no shelter, so my friend and I had to squish together under an umbrella, while our seats and butts got soaked. There ended up being no pretty sunrise. Here's where another issue lies: when leaving the sunrise spot, we went straight back down the mountain and didn't do the black lava experience we paid for. We believe this is because our jeep driver (the kindest soul alive) thought it was unsafe due to the extremely wet and slippery conditions. We also did not do the coffee plantation, which we also paid for. Our drivers didn't speak the best English, which made it hard to communicate our confusion with the cancellation of activities. I ended up requesting a partial refund due to two of the activities we paid for being either forgotten or cancelled due to the rain. And as I stated previously and as is stated on the website, if the activity is cancelled, we would be offered another day or refund. Alas, our partial refund request was denied since they 'cant control the weather'. Yes, they can't control the weather, but they CAN control whether or not the activity will go on DUE to the weather, which had been bad since before we were picked up. Honestly, this activity seems like a money grab, where you either do have a good time, or you don't. Also, please be careful if you go and it's wet. I ended up slipping near a small cliff where our jeep was parked and injured my elbow. I hope you have a better time than we did! PS. Breakfast is a hard-boiled egg, a cheese sandwich, and chocolate. Most of us were scared to eat it due to Bali belly fears. Take my advice and bring two minute noodles in a cup (boiled water is offered) so that you have a nice and hot treat to keep you warm!
