Mount Batur, an active volcano situated amidst dual nested calderas towards the north-western side of Mount Agung in Bali, forms an integral part of the island’s attractions. The more significant caldera, spreading over 130 km, encompasses a caldera lake on its south-eastern flank. The inner caldera has a diameter of about 7.5 kilometers. Mount Batur offers a thrilling hike, making it an ideal adventure for solo travelers, couples, and groups. Although challenging, the hike is certainly manageable and well worth the effort.
