Awesome opportunity to +10 your skills in three hours - The three hours flew by and I was sorry it was over so quickly. Glenn did a fantastic job of covering the fundamentals (eg exposure triangle) and then focusing on each aspect of the triangle to give real world examples of the tradeoffs (eg shooting moving traffic at 1/60s shutter speed to see the blur, then shooting it again at 1/1000s to see it stop the motion). He had me in aperture priority for about 30 minutes, shutter priority for 30 minutes, then manual mode the final two hours. I’ve never shot manual, and Glenn did a great job of not only removing the fear of full manual, but getting me excited about the upsides of manual. Probably the single most valuable thing was to have a pro standing next to me that wanted to review every shot for composition. As a landscape photographer I don’t use a lot of the zoom in my 24-240mm lens. Glenn pointed out several times I wasted pixels and was relying on crop to get a good shot. He pushed me to really get in tight on the subjects and showed the impact of “cropping your shot in camera, not in post.” An awesome class that I would retake multiple times, as getting access to a 30 year professional who is a very good teacher in a 1:1 setting is worth every penny!

Great solo instruction with a seasoned pro! - Glenn was great - lots of time spent on lighting and composition and he really encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and go full manual! We met at Milson’a point rail station and made our way down the water where we took our time photographing the bridge and the opera house. From there we went to Luna Park which was really fun - lots of colours and reflections to play with. The. We took the ferry across to the opera house and spent the rest of the wring photographing it from the exterior. I’m not back home yet so no photos to share for a bit bit I really enjoyed my evening - thanks Glenn!

Great photography experience. - The photographer, Glenn Lockitch was very good with all the uses of the Canon EOS R5, camera I have learning many additional aspects of the camera. I found Glenn very personable and patient with my limited knowledge and experience. Unfortunately I lost my wallet somewhere along the way and Glenn went over and above in trying to help me.
