Don't think twice, book it! - Our aurora hunting adventure from Kiruna to Abisko was an experience that exceeded all our expectations. First and foremost, the drive from Kiruna to Abisko was magical and the dinner at Brasserie Fjällköket in Abisko was remarkable, their staff were the epitome of hospitality. The aurora hunting experience itself was nothing short of extraordinary. The team's dedication to ensuring we had the best possible chance to witness the Northern Lights was evident in every aspect of the journey. They were not just guides; they were passionate enthusiasts who shared invaluable tips and conducted an educational session that was as enlightening as it was fascinating. What set this adventure apart was the team's relentless pursuit of the perfect viewing spot. It was clear they had a vast network of contacts throughout the area, which they leveraged to our advantage. Their efforts paid off spectacularly when we were led to a spot that offered us a view of the Northern Lights. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!

Very good experience and beautiful aurora - Very satisfying! It has not been simple because of clouds, but thanks to the guide Onur we finally succeeded in finding the bright Sky and so the northern lights. Beautiful experience, and great thanks to the photographer Felipe.

Amazing Tour - The trip was amazing. First we had some delicious dinner at a place in Abisko, before our Guide Onur explained us the basics about the northern lights. After that we went out searching for the Aurora…while waiting we made some fire, had tea and some cookies. At first it was very cloudy, but we didn‘t gave up and drove a long way until we finally found them. And this experience was amazing! We say thank you for the great night and really appreciate your effort! All the best L + A

Extraordinary tour - All aspects were extraordinary. The prep was smooth, the pickup was easy, the meal was delicious. The lead guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and determined, with a wonderful set of laminated explanation graphics. We went almost to Narvik and back. We had clouds till midnight, but he never gave up. One the clouds opened up, the Northern Lights gave a spectacular show. We stopped three times along the way. The last time was on request and we had a tall mountain that looked like it spouted the beams. Drop off was effortless.

At least once in a lifetime - I had high expectations on the tour organized by Lights of Vikings after the excellent reviews founded on various online sites and I must say that I was not disappointed: I can only highly recommend you rely on this company for your aurora hunting! We booked a private tour and we had Cristina, one of the founders of the company, as guide and photographer all to ourselves. The tour we booked also included a 3-course dinner (starter, main course and dessert - drinks not included) at the Abisko Mountain Lodge. The restaurant is a nice and relaxing location, the food served is really good and the service is excellent(kind and friendly waiters). We were very lucky because, even before the theorical explanation of the phenomenon, during dinner, wonderful northern lights exploded in the sky. Cristina, the guide, immediately led us out and took the first photos of our tour. After these first lights we returned to the restaurant and the guide introduced her colleague Felipe who, speaking to us in Italian (our mother tongue), was able to best explain us what we had just seen. In any case, Cristina had already spoken with us without problems, using excellent English. Once dinner was over, the guide says that there were favorable conditions to be able to observe the aurora already in the surrounding area and therefore we did not have to move far away: we travelled a few more kilometers by car and stopped beyond the roadside to find an area that allowed us to admire the sky without light pollution. Here the guide carefully prepared a nice fire around which we could wait for new beams of northern lights, talk, drink good hot tea and eat good biscuits that she had brought with her for us. This too, in itself, was a truly beautiful and relaxing experience, thanks also to a temperature that was favorable to us (about 0ºC or just below). We had the opportunity to see the aurora above our heads for some time, take other photos and also get information from the guide on some stars/constellations clearly visible in the sky. We thank Cristina for the evening spent together in which, more than just a tour guide, she seemed to be an integral part of our group. She made us live a special experience that we will certainly not forget, also thanks to the beautiful photos that she took of us and then shared.

Lightstacular! - It was an amazing experience! We had a lovely dinner first, then they explained us what auroras are and when you can see them. After that we took the car and did a few stops where the guides were checking if the spot was the ideal for seeing them. Robin, one of the guides was super kind! I’d repeat the experience with them for sure!!

An amazing experience - We booked the tour to Abisko with dinner. Robin picked us up in our accommodation and we went to Abisko to have dinner. Then they explained to us how the auroras form and impact the earth etc before starting the chasing for the auroras. Robin and Felipe did an amazing job trying to find clear skies. This is the part I enjoyed the most as they were driving, looking at the sky, stopping and chatting between them, I really like it! Then we finally found them and it was really an amazing experience. If I am back to Kiruna I will definitely book a tour with them again (probably the three days just to maximise the possibilities of seeing them). Thanks for the kindness of Robin who made the experience even more incredible for us, we will remember this forever!
