Perfect trip in Oasa - This trip is just amazing and it is a must for anybody who wish to see a different side of Japan! We had a fantastic time. Jonah is very friendly and he provided loads of information about Oasa, Hiroshima and Japan. We felt cared for and looked after the whole time. The lunch was just delicious and the place was breathtaking and very relaxing. Cycling in Oasa was one of our high-lights on our trip in Japan. Jonah offered two different tours according to our preferrences and abilities. The e-bike just made the day easier even for people who have not cycled for some time. I would highly recommend this trip!

The best guided tour ever! - What a great experience this was! We booked this trip while staying in Hiroshima. It was only 1 hours drive with the JR express bus. At arrival we were warmy welcomed by the owner and the guides. After a short introduction from the guide Jonah, we went off for a 4 hours trip through the beautifull countryside. Jonah showed us around while feeding us with interesting info about this region. It was good to have electric bikes, for there were some pretty challenging hills to climb😉 At top of one hill there was a special tree, the only one left of his kind, where we took some pictures. We had lunch in a litlle restaurant with a beautifull herb and flower garden. The lunch looked like a picasso painting with all these beautifull flowers and tasten Lively. We also went to a place where they practised foot-massage. We were invited to join and ofcourse we couldn't say no to that. It was a very enjoyfull experience. At the end of our tour, we also visited a sake brewery. The owner gave us a tour through his brewery and were invited to taste the different tasts of sake. Actually, they all tasted for more😁 but unfortunatly our tour had come to an end and we needed to get back to the bus station. It was the best day of our 5 weeks holiday tour and I would like to thank the guides, Jonah and Tak, for their warm and friendly guiding during this day.

A unique and relaxing experience, highly recommended! - We had an amazing time today! It took slightly more than an hour to get there from our place in Hiroshima, but it was definitely worth the trip. Our tour guide Jonah gave clear instructions on how to get there which was highly appreciated. He, and the rest of the team, picked us up from the Oasa IC bus stop and took us to the starting point. Here we got some information about Oasa and which potential routes we could take (depending on what we wanted to see). Jonah and our other tour guide Tak were very fun and knowledgeable! It was very interesting to hear their stories and share ours. It was also lovely to hear stories from other locals. We cycled through beautiful areas, including the Tengushide tree area, and we had a very tasty lunch (with vegan options available, which they were able to arrange very quickly even though I only communicated this request very late so that was highly appreciated!). We walked briefly through the herb garden of the restaurant, which smelled amazing, and bought an apple cake from them. After lunch it was time to continue our tour. We cycled through other beautifully green roads to a place where we were able to get a quick foot massage (? unfortunately I forgot the official name for it). We were also able to try it out for ourselves. I don't think we were particularly good at this, but it was a fun little break from cycling ;) Afterwards we cycled to a sake brewery and got a quick tour and sake tasting (which tasted very good!). This tour was very relaxing and a nice break from the city life. It was not hard physically at all because we had e-bikes. Jonah and Tak were great tour guides. They made the day a lot of fun and taught us many things. All in all, we would definitely recommend this tour if you want to see the beautiful countryside Japan has to offer or if you want a small break from city life. We would definitely book this tour again!

Great day! - Great day! Active biking day, regular stops and lots of information. Jonah is a great tour guide. Although it was a rainy day (Jonah brought a poncho for me), I enjoyed this day very much. Information on the bus, schedule and pick up were perfectly provided. Thank you!

I fell in love with Oasa. <3 - Oasa is a very special place with amazing people. I had a great time with Jonah and his wife. Oasa is evidently beautiful even if it was raining during my visit. If you want an authentic Japan experience, I highly recommend this tour. Thank you to Jonah and his wife. They made sure that I feel comfortable the entire time. The entire experience is fun. With Jonah and his wife, I can say that I made friends in this beautiful town. I will always treasure the time I spent with them. I am really excited to go back and visit Oasa again. :) See you! P.S: To use the JR pass, just show your JR Pass to the bus driver before getting off the bus :)

Magical rural cycling experience - Awesome people, awesome views, awesome stories. Oasa isn't a touristy place at all. During the ride I found mostly farmers during the harvest season with their machines. Jonah san speaks perfect English as he stayed in the US before. He also knows the place and the people, so you'll get first hand experiences of how the rural life in Japan is. The tour is well made for anyone. If you are a hardcore cyclist you can definitely ride the e-bike without assistance (harder than a road bike!), but if you are slightly less in shape then the top power mode won't leave you sweating at all. You can also gain a bunch of knowledge - I asked about Japanese myths, crops, traditional practices and somehow Jonah san can answer all of that. Simply impressive. Don't be afraid if you are going solo - it would be perfect for you too.

Truest Japan Experience - It were just the two of us: me and my husband. The guide had brilliant English knowledge. Bikes were electric and convenient to ride. Our first destination was the local mountain top where we found the most spectacular view of Ooasa and the valley. As we were preparing to continue our route, the weather surprised us with a heavy rain, so after our guide handed us rain ponchos, it was decided to head back and continue the tour by car. The guide was kind enough to bring us to the local Sake and wine brewery held by a wonderful hardworking local owner! We had a full tour of the 150 year old building and were astonished by how much it has changed and by the owner's hospitality and warmth! Then we went to see a tea house project owned and managed by an American guy. He had wonderful ideas and is well on the way of opening the place. If we return to Ooasa, we will definitely visit him again and taste his superb tea collection. Our last destination was a local restraurant hosted by a Japanese family and serving the most delicious mouthwatering japanese food prepared with locally harvested veggies. Absolutely the best! The organisers were flexible to adapt to the changing weather conditions and let us have the most magical experience tasting the real Japan! Thank you so much!

Wonderful experience - We had such a great experience on the Countryside Cycle Tour in Oasa with Jonah and Akira. We saw many beautiful views and interesting places, that we could not have found on our own. Among these a Sake-brewery, herbal garden, traditional farm house, where we had tea, rice fields and many others. Jonah and Akira were excellent guides and could tell a lot about the nature, culture and community of Oasa. It was easy to get there with the JR bus from Hiroshima. The bus ride was free with Japan Rail Pass and came with a beautiful view along the way. We definitly recommend going on this trip!

A fun day out from Hiroshima - We very much enjoyed our cycling which we did as a day out from Hiroshima. Jonah's instructions as to how to get there by bus were very clear and he was there to meet us off the bus as arranged. Jonah's English is excellent and it was great to get his insights to life in Japan from someone who has experienced both western and Japanese cultures. The e-bikes made getting up the hill easy and our very tall family members (6ft 4+) were able to use them ok. Lunch was good. All in all it was a great break from the city.
