• Kitulgala - Kitulgala is a small town in the Sabaragamuwa of Sri Lanka. It is in the wet zone rainforest, which gets two monsoons each year, and is one of the wettest places in the country. Nevertheless, it comes alive in the first three months of the year, especially in February, the driest month. The Academy Award-winning The Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundations for the bridge and, supposedly, the submerged train cars that plunged into the river in the climactic scene. Kitulgala is also a base for white-water rafting, which starts a few kilometers upstream

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Colombo and head out to Kitulgala via Avissawella, stopping on the way for breakfast. Upon arrival at Kitulgala, you’ll start a heart-pounding White Water Rafting experience on the scenic Kelani River, featuring 5 main rapids and 4 minor ones. Safety is our top priority and anyone over 10 years old can participate. Safety equipment, up-to-date rafts, and a thorough safety demonstration will be provided by our qualified rafting guides. Post the thrilling adventure, feel free to take a dip in the river. Enjoy a buffet lunch at the campsite with options of Western or Sri Lankan cuisine. Post-lunch, spend some relaxing time by the riverside before we return to Colombo and drop you back at your hotel.
