Nusa Penida - Manta Point is aptly named as it’s one of Bali’s premier dive sites for spotting manta rays. These elegant creatures are seen on nearly every dive, along with spotted stingrays and nurse sharks. Diving is possible year-round, but the optimal period is between August and October, when visibility can reach an impressive 20 meters. Most excursions depart from Sanur on the Bali mainland. The waters around Manta Point can be quite chilly due to the open currents from the Indian Ocean, but the visibility is often excellent, allowing for better exploration and photography of the abundant marine life. Other notable sightings include occasional sea turtles, reef sharks, and the oceanic sunfish or mola-mola. At around 10 meters within the protected bay, mantas freely roam and feed in the plankton-rich waters, enjoying the symbiotic company of cleaner wrasses that rid their bodies of parasites.

Nusa Penida Island - Crystal Bay Snorkeling Point offers an ideal snorkeling adventure in the Indian Ocean, with crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling. At Crystal Bay, you can see schools of anthias and batfish that appear periodically. A nearby bat cave and a beautiful white sandy beach at Banjar Penida, west of Sakti village on the northwestern coast facing Nusa Ceningan, add to the allure. Crystal Bay is one of the few places in the world where you can see the magnificent mola mola. A sighting is almost guaranteed during the season if you allow two or three days of diving. Diving with the Sunfish is an unforgettable experience, as the mola mola can reach a length of 3 meters and a weight of over 2,000 kg. They are usually found in deep, cold oceanic waters but occasionally come inshore in Bali between July and September.

Gamat Bay - Gamat Bay Snorkeling Point is stunning and remains largely untouched. The area is not crowded with tourists, making it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Gamat Bay boasts very clean sand and beautiful, soft, colorful corals. This area is highly favored by local divers for its exotic marine life.

Uluwatu Temple - Uluwatu Temple is a must-visit tourist destination, especially at sunset, and it attracts a large number of visitors daily. Known to the Balinese as Pura Luhur Uluwatu, it is one of six key temples believed to be Bali’s spiritual pillars. The temple is renowned for its breathtaking location atop a steep cliff approximately 70 meters above sea level. It shares the splendid sunset backdrops of Tanah Lot Temple, another significant sea temple on the island’s western shores. Uluwatu Temple is one of the top places on the island for sunset views, offering direct vistas of the beautiful Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances.

Kecak and Fire Dance - The exact origins of the Kecak and Fire Dance are unclear, but it is generally agreed that the Balinese Kecak was first developed as a performing art in the village of Bona, Gianyar. Initially, Kecak was a song or music created from a combination of sounds forming melodies used to accompany the sacred Sanghyang dance, which could only be performed in temples. In the early 1930s, artists from Bona, Gianyar, developed the Kecak dance by incorporating the Ramayana story, replacing the Sanghyang Dance, allowing it to be performed publicly as an art form. The first part of the Ramayana story adapted for this dance is the abduction of Goddess Sita by King Rahvana.
