Highlights
  • Nusa Penida - Manta Point is aptly named as it’s one of Bali’s premier dive sites for spotting manta rays. These elegant creatures are seen on nearly every dive, along with spotted stingrays and nurse sharks. Diving is possible year-round, but the optimal period is between August and October, when visibility can reach an impressive 20 meters. Most excursions depart from Sanur on the Bali mainland. The waters around Manta Point can be quite chilly due to the open currents from the Indian Ocean, but the visibility is often excellent, allowing for better exploration and photography of the abundant marine life. Other notable sightings include occasional sea turtles, reef sharks, and the oceanic sunfish or mola-mola. At around 10 meters within the protected bay, mantas freely roam and feed in the plankton-rich waters, enjoying the symbiotic company of cleaner wrasses that rid their bodies of parasites.

  • Nusa Penida Island - Crystal Bay Snorkeling Point offers an ideal snorkeling adventure in the Indian Ocean, with crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling. At Crystal Bay, you can see schools of anthias and batfish that appear periodically. A nearby bat cave and a beautiful white sandy beach at Banjar Penida, west of Sakti village on the northwestern coast facing Nusa Ceningan, add to the allure. Crystal Bay is one of the few places in the world where you can see the magnificent mola mola. A sighting is almost guaranteed during the season if you allow two or three days of diving. Diving with the Sunfish is an unforgettable experience, as the mola mola can reach a length of 3 meters and a weight of over 2,000 kg. They are usually found in deep, cold oceanic waters but occasionally come inshore in Bali between July and September.

  • Gamat Bay - Gamat Bay Snorkeling Point is stunning and remains largely untouched. The area is not crowded with tourists, making it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Gamat Bay boasts very clean sand and beautiful, soft, colorful corals. This area is highly favored by local divers for its exotic marine life.

  • Uluwatu Temple - Uluwatu Temple is a must-visit tourist destination, especially at sunset, and it attracts a large number of visitors daily. Known to the Balinese as Pura Luhur Uluwatu, it is one of six key temples believed to be Bali’s spiritual pillars. The temple is renowned for its breathtaking location atop a steep cliff approximately 70 meters above sea level. It shares the splendid sunset backdrops of Tanah Lot Temple, another significant sea temple on the island’s western shores. Uluwatu Temple is one of the top places on the island for sunset views, offering direct vistas of the beautiful Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances.

  • Kecak and Fire Dance - The exact origins of the Kecak and Fire Dance are unclear, but it is generally agreed that the Balinese Kecak was first developed as a performing art in the village of Bona, Gianyar. Initially, Kecak was a song or music created from a combination of sounds forming melodies used to accompany the sacred Sanghyang dance, which could only be performed in temples. In the early 1930s, artists from Bona, Gianyar, developed the Kecak dance by incorporating the Ramayana story, replacing the Sanghyang Dance, allowing it to be performed publicly as an art form. The first part of the Ramayana story adapted for this dance is the abduction of Goddess Sita by King Rahvana.

  • Jimbaran Bay - Jimbaran Seafood Dinner is a delightful activity where you can enjoy fresh grilled seafood against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset. Part of the legendary Indian Ocean, Jimbaran Bay offers a comprehensive seafood experience. Located just a 10-minute drive from the international Ngurah Rai airport, Kedonganan and Jimbaran Bay stand out from other locations. With new systems and management from the local government, seafood restaurants in Jimbaran are now more luxurious and memorable. Jimbaran Seafood Dinner features delicious grilled seafood with a Balinese menu, traditionally prepared and locally caught seafood, and French Mediterranean dishes.

Very good tour. Professional and high CP value 👍 - Tour was very nice. Pickup was smooth with good taxi ride. We go on public boat which little crowded but okay. Company team give us update where to go, very helpful. We choose private tool, I think good choice for us. They give us personal photos, team take them good. We see manta rays, maybe four or five. Very nice to see but little cold in September. I think price okay, not too much. This team is good, I recommend if you like tour like this. Very good memory for us. Thank you.

Beautiful day out - Our lovely driver Agus was waiting nice and early for us at our accommodation in Canggu which was so nice. He was so happy, friendly and engaging and explained what to expect for our day out. Safely got us to the boat transfer and explained what happens when we get to Nusa Penida. The 4 snorkeling spots were so beautiful, clear blue water, great coral and plenty of fish to see. Unfortunately we did not see manta rays but we knew it couldn't be guaranteed as they are wild. Such a great day out and definitely recommend it. Shout out to Agus for navigating the hectic Canggu traffic all with a smile !

Good Snorkeling Experience Early Morning - We booked for a private trip at 6:30am. The driver was already waiting for us in the car. We got to the port promptly and boarded the ship within 10 mins. After we arrived on the Island, we were told to get our equipments. I noticed some reviews claimed that the trip seemed a little unorganized, but we felt quite the opposite. The snorkeling experience was very nice in general, although we were not able to go to the Manta Bay due to big waves. We spotted a sea turtle though, which was surely the highlight of this trip. The whole trip lasted about 6 hours including the transportation, giving us plenty of time in the afternoon to wind down at our hotel.

Happy days - Had a great day. The team took in to account our lack of experience and took us to the easier snorkelling areas. We did get to see a manta, coral and lots of fish. Pick up and drop off made everything so easy too.

Nusa Penida, great snorkelling, rest everything average - Snorkelling experience was great and it did help booking a private boat as a couple of us were not swimmers. The prime reason for average rating is (1) the trip to Sanur is a long one (2) Sanur to Penida is an average public boat ride (3) highly unorganized coordination at Penida before getting into boat (it is a fish market), on the boat while the guide was very efficient for snorkelling he was not very encouraging at Manta Bay so we had to skip plus kept nagging for tips and we also felt like some of the breaches mentioned in the trip schedule were skipped.

Avoid this company and trip - Awful company. Told them we may need to postpone as kids were not well through school the week. They said it would be fine. Kids were sick on the crossing as everyone was rammed in a tiny boat and no visibility to see anything snorkelling. Waste of time and money.
