- Diamond Beach - We will meet at our basecamp where we serve coffee and snacks. We will have a 40 minute presentation on seaweed, farming procedures and the importance for the local community. Also there will be a orientation for the activities and the chance to borrow our snorkelling gear and boots to walk in the water. From the meeting point, we will bring you to the seaweed farms by car. You will be shown the way traditional seaweed farmers live and work. They will explain and demonstrate the procedures and invite you to walk out in the ocean and help them farming seaweed. You are welcome to try all process yourself with the help of our guides and our partnering seaweed farmers. Your activity will support locals to make an additional income independent of the changing market. Afterwards, we will visit the stunning Diamond Beach in the East of Nusa Penida. If you want, you can walk the path down to the beach for a swim, enjoy a Bali swing, or enjoy the incredible view from above. Whenever you are ready, we will bring you back to our meeting point. If requested 12 hours before, we can organize a pick up and drop off to your hotel. Pictures of you will be taken and shared if you wish.

You will experience Nusa Penida in the most authentic way. This is the only existing program that enables you to get a glimpse of the life and work of Nusa Penida’s seaweed farmers. We will prepare you with background information during our interesting presentation. Afterwards, you will get to experience the actual procedure by assisting the work of our local farmers.
During the activity we will take footage of you and forward them to you. We will further provide you with snorkeling gear, reef-safe sunscreen, and snacks during the day. With your participation, you will financially support the local farmers who heavily rely on the rapidly changing seaweed market.
Our guides are locals who know their island very well, and expats who complement with a more global perspective on seaweed farming. The car is comfortable and well-maintained, and so is our gear. The cabin is climatized and we have insurance and driving licenses.
