Museum of Archaeology: The journey continues with a trip to the Museum in Heraklion, home to the biggest assortment of Minoan artifacts from Crete. City of Heraklion: There’ll be time to explore the marketplace, stores, enjoy lunch, and visit the Venetian port of Heraklion and the historic fortress Koules. This two-tiered construction provides a strategic overview of Heraklion from the ramparts. On a stroll through the old town, visitors will come across St. Titus’ Cathedral, a sight to behold. The Loggia stands as a perfect specimen of Venetian architecture.
