Best tour with outstanding narrative - We had an exceptional tour with Akrivi, she gave us insights into the meanings behind the myths. She also gave us an incredible history of the site and how it was utilized over time. Akrivi is so knowledgeable and kind. She showed us pictures on her phone to help augment her narrativr. She answered all of our questions and kept us in the shade due to the heat. This is an incredible tour, thank you!

Best tour ever - I was lucky enough to experience this tour as a private 1:1, as no one had signed up for the 9 AM tour. The archeologist was extremely knowledgable and the palace ruins/ archeological site were incredible! I would recommend this visit to anyone.

Worth it - Akrivi our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, a tour guide made the experience much more meaningful and memorable and I learned so much that I didn’t know before. If you love history, it’s the way to go! Lastly, skipping the line was an added perk that I didn’t appreciate until I got there- The lines can be LONG. Suggestion to anyone visiting Knosos- wear sunscreen and hydrate. Also make sure to arrive early if by car, as parking is not easy.

Great visit and guide - It was only us (3) on the tour so always going to help but the guide was great, she knew her history and the site very well. Knew where the shade was going to be, important for July. Had answers for all our questions. It’s an important site in world history and I would recommend the trip without hesitation.

Do it properly or don’t do it at all - We visited Knossos on a recommendation. We made a couple of errors. Firstly we didn’t invest in the technology that guides visitors. This left us largely blind walking around an ancient settlement. While we were aware of the historical significance of the site and there were numerous signs explaining the areas it was spoiled by being crowded and incredibly hot with little shade. Parking was a challenge. Many visitors travel on coaches which disgorge waves of people at a time. The souvenir shop at the end was quite good.
