Palace of Knossos - Very funny. But in July there are a lot of people getting hard to see because it takes a long time. Maybe in other times it's easier to know the space

Unforgettable experience - This is an absolute do not miss experience! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and the total cost was much less than a taxi would have been for just two people!
We didn’t have time for the museum, but the palace was amazing and we had a great time in the city getting food we didn’t have access to in the village where we were staying.
There isn’t much shade at the palace, so remember suncream and a sunhat as we did see a young woman faint from the heat!
You are given little radios which are connected to a mic on the tour guide, so you can always hear your guide. The different languages are also on different channels- so you don’t have to listen to the other language if you don’t want to!

Knossos - Great day out, thoroughly enjoyed! The only criticism was the two and a half hour bus journey picking people up but I guess that was necessary.
Guide was excellent and great place to experience!

Great tour - The tour guide was very interesting and very informative. The palace was amazing. The transportation was great, on time and coach was very comfortable. We got to see a lot and the free time in the old town was great. Worth the money!

Book via TUI with Maria! She was fantastic! - What a fantastic few hours we had at Knossos Palace with the amazing TUI tour guide Maria. She was wonderful all around. Very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the things she was telling us. There was some waiting around today to view certain parts of the palace so Maria spent the time telling us stories about the palace and the area and the local inhabitants of the time period, making sure we never got bored and fed up waiting in the sun. The Palace itself is stunning! Well worth the money if you want an educational and fun few hours. My only criticism (if you could call it that) is that the tour groups could be smaller to ensure no one gets mixed up or loses the group etc. Our group was around 30 people I think? and a few times we lost the guide as she was showing people other areas.

Interesting but average - Lovely tour, don't be afraid to wander off, we found the guided tour abit too repetitive in 3 languages, it was slow going and very busy because of the cruise ships arriving. So we wandered about ourselves reading the signs, very interesting, shame most of it has been moved to the museum and there's not a huge amount known about the place. But glad we got too see it. Heraklion was a bust port town servicing the cruise ships, was busy and expensive, doesn't give a great experience of create as a whole but was glad to see it.

Good, but slightly disappointing. - Good tour of Knossos, guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour of Heraklion was essentially being taken to the main square and told where the sites were. Would have liked more of the mythology of Knossos and the Minotaur and Labyrinth, but wasn’t mentioned. In hindsight, a public bus and an audio guide at the palace would have been just as good and cheaper.
