Monastery Vidiani - The Monastery of Vidiani is located at the base of Mount Louloudaki, near the village of Kato Metohi in the Lassithi Plateau. Access is very convenient, as the peripheral road of the plateau runs right next to it. The monastery is dedicated to Zoodochos Pigi (Life-Giving Spring) and has been beautifully restored from its previously abandoned state. Today, the monk cells and other buildings of the complex have been renovated, and the monastery operates as a male monastery. Flowers bloom throughout the summer, while a small fountain in the yard with towering cypress trees symbolizes the spring of Life. There is also a quaint café under the shade of the trees. The monastery hosts a small natural history museum, in collaboration with the University of Crete. The monastery and the church are relatively modern, having been built in the 19th century.

P.S. The Cave of Zeus is currently closed for maintenance. Visitors can only view the entrance (a 10-minute walk). It is located next to the Greek Mythology Park.

During the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the olive and the harvesting process from ancient times to the present day, in a traditional four-generation olive oil production factory.
