Spectacular experience at sea - Fantastic experience with Ocean Odyssey. Incredible going out through the heads with highly experienced skipper who navigated it perfectly. Saw 4 whales, seals and a sunfish. Such spectacular views on this beautiful coastline.

We had a whale time! - It was an awesome experience! We saw three whales, a few dolphins, and some seals! Hats off to Johannes, our Captain, for his numerous attempts to get us to the right spot. We can recommend this experience and will definitely do it again.

Whale watching out of Knysna - Wasn’t expecting to see too much as we set off at 3pm yesterday bit late in the season , other that fantastic scenery of course ! But 1000 dolphin, 10 seals and 4 whales later it turned out I was rather pessimistic !! Great trip we were out for close on 3 hrs Big Thanks to skipper & spotter !!

Excellent trip, thank you - Excellent trip, with safety given top priority. Powerful boat that readily escaped Knysna harbour into the Indian Ocean with ease. We saw two types of dolphins and Humpback whales. Very well skippered boat and the crew were knowledgeable and helpful at every stage. A ‘must do’ if you are in Knysna.

Do it! - Fantastic experience Sadly no whales for us. This did not Matter, the boat trip was fab, the crew were great. We saw a couple of seals and then the most spectacular sight of 1000s of dolphins! Literally dolphins everywhere as far as the eye could see. Magical! The sea was choppy but we felt safe. Book!

Class tour it some whales - The tour was a nice trip overall. The boat trip on the fast boat alone was an experience in itself. The encounter with some whales was also fascinating. It takes a lot to identify a 6-7 meter fish in the huge ocean and then be able to approach it. In addition, the captain went close to the rocky coast and showed some caves. Such a tour always requires a little luck. Fish don't jump out of the water at the push of a button. And ultimately, that's a good thing.

A must do activity when touring the Garden Route. - Bridget and Michael were invited by Ocean Odyssey to enjoy what this company has to offer. The pre trip communication was concise, as well as the safety briefing prior to the activity. The vessel is sturdy, well designed and handles the sea in a comfortable manner. The skipper and crew took great care of us, while delivering eco education as well. They knew exactly how to locate the whales and fantastic sightings made for memorable experiences. as an Adventure tour Operator, we will continue to use this professional company. The fact that it is family run gives own that extra personal touch. A all round great bucket list item to tick off. 👍

Brilliant encounter - We did this on the 9.30 excursion, and it was fabulous. A bit bumpy getting out of the bay but nothing to worry about the crew were terrrific. They have a spotter on the boat and also a spotter on shore at the top of a hill with binoculars so allthough the ocean is a big place you have every chance of seeing something. We had an incredible trip we saw Bottle nose Dolphins and Seals to start off with along with a coastline tour seeing the coves and caves which was great and then we saw the Brides Wahle up close. We ventured out to see futher and found oursleves riding along surrounded aby a pod of 50+ common dolphines on either side of the baot, really special. We had been out for about 90 mins and started heading back when the call came through so we turned around and headed back out to sea, saw the splash of a humpback as it dived with its baby and then found a Right White whale and baby and sat and watched them for some time before heading back having got a near 3 hour tour. Many thanks what an experience

Whale seen from afar due to the climate - The guides were very courteous, borrowed ponchos, cold blouses and stayed longer than scheduled. We saw a whale very far away and only the point. The sea was quite agitated. It was very cold. Which made it difficult to spot whales. Bring a cold blouse.
