- Kobe - Experience a tour of 3 hidden bars in the heart of Kobe Sannomiya, known only to local business people. These spots are my personal favorites and come highly recommended, as they are rarely visited by foreign tourists and do not have English menus. I’ll take you to a “Tachinomiya” (Japanese standing drinking bar), an “Izakaya” (a typical Japanese bar and restaurant), and a “Koryoriya” with a Japanese Sake (rice wine) sommelier. All locations are within a 5-minute walk of each other. I’ll order my favorite dishes of the day, but feel free to let me know if there’s something specific you’d like to try. Let’s enjoy drinking and savoring local Japanese cuisine together.
Other things to note
The basic plan includes a selection of Japanese dishes and drinks such as beer, sake, shochu, awamori, and chuhai (a popular Japanese cocktail with various flavors). If you have specific preferences or dietary restrictions, you can order additional items, though extra charges may apply. We will be walking between bars, so please dress appropriately for the weather and temperature.

I’ll take you to three bars that you wouldn’t find on your own, offering experiences you likely haven’t had before. These bars have a unique style that can only be found in Japan.
The first bar is “Tachinomiya,” located near a railway alley. Here, we drink and eat while standing—no seats available. :)
The second bar is “Izakaya,” the most popular bar style in Japan, known for its special atmosphere. You’ll find rare beers, Shochu, and Awamori (Japanese distilled spirits) here.
The third bar is “Koryoriya,” where a Sake Sommelier provides hospitality. They offer the day’s special and most recommended Japanese Sake, along with homemade Japanese cuisine.
These bars are known only to locals and are my personal favorites. Few tourists visit because there are no English menus, especially at Koryoriya. I believe you’ll create special memories here.
