If in Osaka, enjoy company of good guide. - Our guide, Koko was very pleasant, informative and dedicated to our comfort throughout the day. Pickup was slightly problematic, as we were out of the ship early and waited on the 3rd floor, where we were told that guides meet customers. Koko followed her instructions from the tour operator exactly, but we missed the floor location: a minor issue. Koko also introduced us to train transit. Overall, we enjoyed the tour, our conversations with Koko and the sights of Osaka.

Fun full day exploring Kobe - We really enjoyed this full day exploring Kobe. The carpentry museum was great and the building was a cool mix of modern architecture with great wood details, but I'm a woodworker so your mileage may vary. The ride (gondolas) to get to the top of the herb gardens was fun. If you enjoy gardens and beautiful views of the city, you'll enjoy this. The shrine was a nice stop in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. I will say, compared to some other places in Japan, Kobe seemed a little more run down. The sake museum and tasting was ok, especially if you compare it with some of the distillery tours in the US. It's a long commute for the experience. Our tour guide was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed learning more about Japan and Kobe as we explored the city and the sights together.

Modern and pleasant city - Modern and pleasant city to visit. Its famous Kobe beef is not to be missed. A cable car will take you to the Jardin des Herbes, a very beautiful place with a splendid view of the city.

Nice area, good for a walk around look around. - Lovely day out. The herb garden was beautiful and the carpentry museum was very interesting, how they built their temples and houses. Recommend. Kobe is a nice area to check out.

Kobe port tour - The Sake tour was great. Saw how Sake was made and then got to taste different brands. Unfortunately the Herb Garden tour and the Tool museum was closed. We also visited the local shrine.

Lots to See in Kobe - We learned a lot about Kobe on this tour, which was our goal. The Herb Garden, located on such a steep hillside that we rode a rope line to the top and walked down, offered a beautiful, natural setting around each curve in the path. Touring the merchants’ homes in Ijinkan gave us a grasp of the importance of Kobe as an International port in the 1800’s. It was also fascinating to see the involved sake making process! Our tour had a few hiccups… different opening hours or not open at all (tool museum was closed), but our guide Etsuko was prepared to offer interesting alternatives for us to see.

Kobe garden tour. - Our tour guide Ayako was very good and certainly knew the area. The Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens were very beatiful and the Shinto Temple was very interesting. This is a walking tour so be prepared to do a total of about 4 miles of walking. You weill use many teain rides to get from one place to the other and this adds to the absorbing of the local culture. The sake was good but I did not think it was worth the time to get to the sake plant.

Great experience for a day around Kobe. But, it would nice if there were less walking. - Ayako was extremely helpful and provided many useful information about Kobe and Osaka. We had the great day. Her recommendation on the Kobe beef dinner was excellent.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY there was a lot of communication prior to the tour with the operator. We were provided with contact - We contacted the tour guide the day before and was told that he had never heard of us. He was rude. We booked for a tour of lava tubes on kobe Island sth korea. The morning of the tour we still did not know if the guide would meet us. We were met and told that the lava tubes we closed. We'll ok these things happen but when we talked to fellow passengers on the ship they said that they had visited the caves and lava tubes. ???? Our guide did not speak English so I was unable to tell him of the restrictions placed on me regarding the difficulty of the tour. The tour we did was not worth the money. We could have done it on our own and left out the waterfall with what seemed like 100s of stairs. Keju k tours were unprofessional. Very disappointing. I don't think I will book tours from home in the future. A word of advice to travellers. Wait till you get to the port. It's cheaper (this was a very expensive tour) and can decide what you really want to see, within your capabilities.
