Kobe Trip - Mr Yama met us at the high speed train 30 minutes early which was very nice of him. Very good communication via email before the day of the tour. Mr. does walk fast, however, he is very efficient at what he does. Would highly recommend Mr Yama as a tour guide.

Excellent Tours with Yama! - I highly recommend Yama and the Japan Guide Agency for private tours of Kobe and Osaka. He tailored the tours based on my interests and did an excellent providing options and finalizing an itinerary well in advance of our meeting. Kobe is an easy train ride from Osaka and there is so much to see. There is no substitute for having a local show you around their hometown. My tours were informative, enjoyable, and exactly the experience I was looking for when I booked a local guide. Yama does an excellent job taking pictures and providing recommendations for restaurants and activities. He is also a genuinely nice guy. The Japan Guide Agency reservation process was efficient, and I received a confirmation within a few minutes of booking. A true 5 star experience.

Kobe city walking tour with Yama - Yama was an exceptional guide, had an excellent sense of humour and was adaptable and helpful with regards to our itinerary. Along the way, he took several family photos and sent them after the tour was over. His knowledge and organization was appreciated, and he made sure to provide us with written instructions in both English and Japanese that allowed us to navigate our own way through the city after the tour had ended. Arigato gozaimasu Yama!

A Must when Visiting Kobe - My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Norio Oki was our guide. He was very knowledgeable of the areas we visited and gave us some history of the local sites. We visited Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden, Sorakuen and Kobe Motomachi Shopping Street. We took the ropeway to the Herb Garden. The view was amazing! The flowers and herbs were spectacular. The Sarakuen was a paradise. Lots of trees, flowers, and water ways with large coi. Kobe is a beautiful city. You will not regret taking this tour. Make sure to ask for Norio Oki! He communicated with us within a few days of reserving the tour and kept in touch several times prior to the tour. You will be in good hands with Norio! Joe and Betty

Brilliant time with Yama - We met Yama in the embarkation lounge in Port Kobe he took us on a couple of trains to visit Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum which was interesting. He is a charming man very knowledgeable and great fun to be with. He advised us on where to get a Kobe beef tasting in China Town. We had a great day with him and would thoroughly recommend this activity.

Kobe 😁 - We were so lucky to have Yama-san as our guide for half a day in Kobe. It was a memorable trip to the case brewery and cable tour to Nunobiki Herbal Garden. Yama was knowledgeable and very funny and took some great photos on the trip that he shared with us.

Friendly guide, but too much travel time - Our guide was very friendly, and helped us find things that would have been difficult on our own, e.g. a sake brewery with tastings, a quality Kobe beef food stand. Unfortunately, most of the trip was spent traveling on the metro train. This was our fault for having chosen 3 things relatively far apart in the initial conversation, but there was a lack of guidance about how much travel time there would be, and the tour aspect of local stories and information was muted during the train travel.
