Great tour - Great tour. We were picked from the dockside and taken in a comfortable small bus to Allepe where we got onto a boat to tour the backwaters. The drive there was fascinating as we drove through villages along the way and passed a number of processions, this being the season of festivals for the Catholic Churches in the area. We had a beautiful lunch of rice, curried fish and other delights. After sailing on the backwaters we were then taken back to Cochin. On the way back we stopped off to see some Chinese fishing nets in operation by local fishermen and then stopped off at a market and at the oldest synagogue still open in Cochin, before going back to the ship. The only thing you need to be aware of is that it is a long drive to Allepe (over one and a half hours).

Disappointed - We recently returned from a 22 day cruise on the Azamara Quest. The stateroom was great and the staff were 5 star. Unfortunately the food was what not remembered from previous cruises . It all felt that the company was cutting corners on cost of food which was pretty cheap. We spent £18000 for a 22 day cruise and the food was three star and never saw any lobster. Not good enough Never again
