Fantastic driver! Lovely Tour! - Mithun was my driver from Cochin to Munnar and he was excellent. We left about 0600. He was Punctual and polite. Sufficient English. Made sure I was comfortable the entire day. Takes great pictures. Made stops as requested for pics. Even backtracked for a picture I missed because I didn’t know it was a photo point.
I’m a solo female traveler and he made sure I was comfortable the entire way- Including sending a picture of himself along with his car license plate, tag, and type of car the day before so that I would know who he was upon arrival. I thought that was helpful.
He even helped me with fantastic hotel arrangements in Munnar, Thekkedy AND Alleppey. This took a load off for me and helped me out a lot. The hotels were all reasonably priced, with the same or similar owners, and the accommodations were absolutely beautiful.
On top of that, I just enjoyed the tour in general. It’s a very laid-back tour, very relaxing. As a healthcare professional, the spice plantation was most especially helpful because it’s something I can use in my practice. The museum was very informational. And the commentary along the way about the villages and the people was educational and interesting.
Thank you Mithun. You did an amazing job and were very helpful! I really enjoyed this tour and it was a lovely way to pack in a bit of sightseeing with a transfer from Cochin to Munnar.

Excellent driver and tour guide. Cochin to Munnar. - Mithuan was our driver from Cochin to Munnar. He was very good, he took us to to places to eat during the journey, both very tasty. He pointed out , and stopped at places of interest on the way. He was always looking out for us , esp at the Dam where there were so many cars, coaches and people. We saw all the sights recommended in the travel guides. The car was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this company, especially Mithuan.

Unforgettable Tour of Munnar with Mithun - We had an amazing trip with Mithun! Munnar was a truly special experience - exploring the spice farm, trying different teas, and taking in the spectacular views made for an unforgettable day. Mithun’s deep knowledge of the area made all the difference, from recommending the best places to eat (we had an incredible Biryani!) to finding the perfect spot for chai with a view. His insights and guidance made the trip exceptional. As well as his great photography skills for our group photos. Thank you for an unforgettable experience - we loved every moment!

A day of unforgettable memories - We had such a brilliant day exploring all the beautiful sights Munnar had to offer. Mithun is a great driver and wonderful guide, ensuring we left the day with so many memories - from a great traditional Kerelan breakfast, to learning about the spice gardens to capturing the best views of the amazing tea plantations. Would recommend this to anyone looking to visit Munnar from Cochin - and Mithun, a big thank you for making it such a special experience.

A breathtaking tour!! Thanks Mr. Mithun! - Myself and friends had the most amazing day with our guide Mr. Mithun. He arrived on time to pick us up and we were greeting by with a very comfortable car and fresh bottled water. He was very knowledgable of the area and took us to the most breathtaking picture points. The trips included such as the the Ripple tea museum were fantastic. The places we stopped for breakfast and lunch were delicious, and we even stopped for extra banana balls and masala chai which was much appreciated! Thanks for such a wonderful experience in one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited, I highly recommend to anyone!

Fab day out in the tea plantations - I had a fabulous day out to Munnar, had excellent stops for breaks on the way, including a lovely breakfast and then interesting walk around spice / medicinal gardens with a very well informed guide, Julie.
My driver Mithun stopped off at other various stops and was happy to pull over for additional photo opportunities at my request. The tour around the tea plantations was amazing, he knew all the best view points! Was a very friendly, but courteous guy and I’m now planning to return to Munnar later during my stay in Kerala to Munnarinfo.in hotel and go on their walking tours.

A special day in Kerala - An impressive experience in great nature. A long and worth seeing drive from Kochin by car. We had a good driver who also made a good guide.

Lots of sights - We did this to try and see a different side to Kerala in the limited time we had. Our driver, Mithun, was very friendly and helpful, especially with knowing where to stop for breaks. He offered some guide information too. The spice tour was excellent, the tea museum a little less impressive. It’s a very long day to drive there and back in a day from Kochi so only do it if you’re prepared for that! Otherwise you could stay overnight in Munnar and have a more relaxing time doing nature treks from there.

Kerala trip for 8 days - Recently we went on a trip of 7N/8D to Kerala. After cancelling the trip on a couple of occasions in previous years, this was our first trip. The following are our observations:
1. As a senior couple travelling alone, we were apprehensive of the facilities. We engaged a car with a driver and booked the hotels ourselves in preference to go on a package trip. We have gone through the reviews and made the booking of hotels through Booking.com. Similarly we selected the cab agency for the car with the driver. We had better flexibility in selecting the hotels. In the process, we saved at least 10K.
2. The cab driver was good and professional. He was knowledgeable and guided us in sight seeing. As we had very little to buy in Kerala, we did not face any problems with the driver in visiting the shops.
3. The people in Kerala are friendly and responded to us very well when they realized that we came from Hyderabad and do not know Malayalam. We had a great conversation with three lady teachers from Ernakulam whom we met in the resort in Kumarkom. The service staff in the hotels were extremely helpful.
4. We noticed two notable features in Kerala. First there is no "tip" culture in hotels. They do not expect any tip for the services provided. When we wanted to tip a waitress in the Munnar hotel, she declined with a smile. Second, you do not find any beggars near temples or public places.
5. We stayed for a day in Thekkady and went on the boat trip in the Periyar Lake. We found Thekkady very congested and overpriced. There are no good restaurants. The boat trip itself did not impress us. We have seen a couple of bisons, three elephants and a few goats... and of course a lot of monkeys. We felt it was a day wasted.
6. We stayed for a day in Kumarkom in The World Backwaters resort. That was the highlight of our trip. We did not take any houseboat or other boat trips. We just enjoyed the ambience of the resort, met and conversed with people from various places. The restaurant at the resort was excellent. We felt that we should have planned for a longer stay.
7. The beaches we visited in Trivandrum and Kovalam were good and quite clean. One must plan to visit the beaches only in the evenings as the days are scorching hot.
Overall our trip to Kerala was enjoyable with good sceneries... notably the tea plantations of Munnar. The waterfalls around Munnar have gone dry by the beginning of February and probably will remain so until monsoon. What impressed us most were the people of Kerala... they are friendly, easy to converse with in English and very helpful.
