Lots of sights - We did this to try and see a different side to Kerala in the limited time we had. Our driver, Mithun, was very friendly and helpful, especially with knowing where to stop for breaks. He offered some guide information too. The spice tour was excellent, the tea museum a little less impressive. It’s a very long day to drive there and back in a day from Kochi so only do it if you’re prepared for that! Otherwise you could stay overnight in Munnar and have a more relaxing time doing nature treks from there.

Fully Packed Long Day Trip To Munnar. - We got a good condition Maruti Ertiga which is very important. Our driver Mr. Eby was a good person and talked about the basics of each location we visited. Apart from the spice garden, old church and tea factory visit, we saw rubber and tea plantations on our way. We were also able to spot some wild elephants on our way back which was the highlight of our tour. However, a single day journey to Munnar from Kochi and back can be exhausting for elderly due to long driving hours. And it's only recommended for people who want to see things quickly like us.

Great trip if you only have one day to go visit Munnar - Really enjoyed this day trip with our driver Mithun. If you only have one day, and really want to experience Munnar, I think this is a great option. We did loads of things during this day and stopped at a great location for breakfast. Mithun was happy to answer our questions and stop for photos at any point ☺️

George went above and... - George went above and beyond on this all day tour to beautiful Munnar. Getting off the beaten track while visiting a tea plantation was a special moment. Thank you

It's fine - If you're not planning a stay in Munnar and want a one day trip to see some things, this is an option. The one photo of the "rock" is a wild elephant. Didn't get a closer look, but still something. Even more fascinating that so many cars just stopped in the middle of the road in hopes of gettig a better glance. The driver I got, Anthony Rigesh, could express some facts about things along the road, but understanding follow up questions or just general questions was almost impossible. I'm glad I decided to stay there for a night, because a one day quickie is a bit rushed. The tour operator didn't communicate the correct timing for pickup to the driver. Also, I was also not informed that the tea plantation and museums were closed for two days when I booked. A professional operator should both have an overview of these things, as well as communicate these things to the customer.

A long but worthwhile day! - This is a good tour to cover off Munnar in a day. But it does mean a lot of driving. My driver, Eby, did a great job! Hint - approx 1 hour each way is spent getting in and out of Cochin so picking up the tour from the airport area would reduce this. The trip goes to a tea museum, which has an excellent video to cover the history of the area. There are also lots of viewpoints, waterfalls and landscapes to take in. Plus an old church from the British era. The breakfast and lunch spots are excellent and well priced. The only stop I didn’t rate was the spice garden - a waste of time. They just want you to buy their alternative medicines. It would also have been nice to have more of a commentary / guide in some areas. I had some on/off rain during the day, but the location is so spectacular, this doesn’t matter! Overall I would definitely recommend this trip!

Beautiful Area, but long drive. - The countryside around Munnar is beautiful, and a nice cool change from Kochi. A very long drive up and back, however 8+ hours in the car, but we had no other option as our time in Keralawas limited. Our driver, Eby, was very personable and accommodating. The Tata Srishti Trust Workshop was especially interesting. The tea museum was rather dilapidated and not worth the time. The spice "plantation" was basically just a come-on to get you to buy things, basically same as dozens of other similar roadside tourist establishments. More time seeing and exploring the landscape would be our recommendation.

Definitely worth seeing in spring - Unfortunately, I traveled at the wrong time of year and so missed out on the big highlights. For example, some of the waterfalls had no water. So the price was not even remotely justified. But since the guide and the taxi driver were very friendly and really impressed me with the nature and landscape, I am still giving it 3 stars/points.
