- Chandiroor - The next small town after Aroor, Chandiroor, is home to several fish markets, coir yarn cottage industries, and backwaters. The highway is lined with elegant residential buildings and small shops catering to the daily needs of the locals.
- Kuthiathodu - Another small town on the way to Alappuzha, Kuthiathodu is renowned for its backwaters and fish farms, particularly the Pokkali Farms, where rice and fish are alternately farmed.
