Perfect day out! - I stumbled across Adonis Botanic Gardens (perfect reviews) when I was looking to find the Adonis Waterfall( terrible reviews), so I decided that the Botanic Gardens is the only place for me to go and I wasn’t wrong, Michalis was so kind to pick me up from the nearest bus stop since I don’t drive and if it wasn’t for his generosity, I wouldn’t have been able to see what he has poured his heart and soul into…A beautiful oasis of a huge selection of trees, shrubs, spice and herb plants, Adonis Botanic Gardens proved to be a wonderful experience and Michalis was the perfect host, engagingly narrating through the story of the garden and the purpose of the plants, while keeping us entertained and refreshed with homemade lemonade, rosewater cordial and punchy zivania, I can wholeheartedly vouch you will have a fabulous time visiting, highly recommended!!!

Hidden gem - We visited the gardens today after stumbling across it on google and we were pleasantly surprised!
For just €10 michalis is very passionate about what he does and provided the best hospitality. We enjoyed a lovely swim in the pool and waterfall and loved hearing about how he had built this eco-friendly sustainable home. It's been one of the highlights of our visit to cyprus, and we left with some beautiful essential oils and perfumes that I can't wait to use.
It's really worth a visit!

Beautiful oasis of peace - We bought some of the essential oils, which my eldest daughter has been using every day, she loves them! Our youngest had a brilliant time trying out eating the herbs, spearmint is a favourite! I’d urge everyone to give this place a try, it’s got views, a lovely little cool pool with water from the Adonis baths, complimentary fresh lemonade and watermelon, and is beautiful. Michalis is very knowledge and passionate about using herbs for medicine and it was incredibly interesting. I wish we’d have realised it was there earlier and went earlier in the day, as there was still so much to see and learn. Top tip, learn how to use the low/manual gears if you have an automatic car, it’s very steep.

Beautiful place to visit in Cyprus - We visited this botanical garden after returning (escaping) from the nearby "Adonis Baths Waterfalls." It was truly a pleasant surprise. Michalis and his wife manage this place nestled in the mountains of Cyprus. There are plants of all kinds, and we tasted dragon fruit cut directly from the plant. For only €10, we enjoyed homemade lemonade and rose juice, ate watermelon, picked pomegranates directly from the tree, and sampled the herbs and oils produced by Mr. Michael. A beautiful place, highly recommended.

A jewel in Paphos - Today my son and I went to my idea of heaven on earth, probably one of the best places I’ve ever been. A slice of heaven for sure. The Adonis Botanic Gardens. Dr.Michalis Mountis who built the place with his wife , is a herbalist, naturopath, aromatherapist and environmentalist. He calls it a visual pleasure and spiritual tranquillity, it’s that and more. From the moment we arrived he made us so welcome that you’d think we’d known him a lifetime. It has a fresh water swimming pool which my son loved swimming in and he makes all of his own natural oils, drinks, herbs and perfumes on site. We sampled drinks and fruits, then got to try out his perfumes and natural oils, his knowledge is truly amazing. An incredibly kind man and his wife is gorgeous too, a day I’ll never forget and can’t wait to return . A definite jewel in Paphos.

Hidden gem! - A real hidden gem, a must visit!
Michelis was so welcoming & knowledgeable.
We went with our two young children & he was great with them, he’s left a real lasting impression on them.
We sampled homemade drinks & fruit whilst enjoying the beautiful views. Then it was time for a refreshing dip in the pool, which I must say was much cleaner than our hotel.
Unfortunately we had to leave to go to a pre booked meal so could only spend a couple of hours there but would have loved to spend more time here.

A wonderful suprise - So we hired a car while on our family holiday in Paphos and as the terrain didn’t allow us to drive to the waterfall we decided to check out the Adonis Botanical Gardens. What a hidden gem. A wonderful place, Michalis is truly a beautiful soul with great passion and knowledge. His gardens and pool ( and soon to be glamping pods ) are fabulous. It’s a personal experience and we would highly recommend a visit. I feel like as this place grows booking a slot to visit will be essential to gain the experience Michalis has to offer. We had plenty of lovely homemade drinks and the most delicious watermelon ever. We felt extremely welcomed and loved every minute at these wonderful gardens. Thank you so much. I would love to return one day.

I already want to go back - This guy should have his own TV show. Absolutely incredible person with a wealth of knowledge. To be honest i don't understand how i only found out about this place now! Amazing tour of a self made, off grid and self sufficient way of living.

An interesting 4 hours in the company of a fabulous character. - Fabulous set up in the hills above Coral Bay. Paphos.
Amazing views over the reservoir, the mountains and down to the sea. Adonis waterfalls is only 2km away, so you could do both in one day.
There were 4 of us. We were the only people there, so got the full treatment.
We met with Michalis (owner) who lives on site with his wife, and many cats.
We were treated to home made lemonade, rose water and copious amounts of home made Zivania.
We were actually there for 4 hours .
Michalis is quite a character, and put on a bit of a show for us. His effervescent personality was amusing.
He is a native of Cyprus, but spent many years in U.K, so his English is excellent.
The pods on the site are about to go live. Meaning you can stay over on the site, which is pretty unique. I believe it's a b&b basis.
There's a beautiful small church on site,a small farm, a beautiful pool and bar. He has big plans for expansion too.
Well worth a visit, if not only to meet with Michalis himself.
We purchased some organic essential oils before leaving.
