An incredible and deeply human experience. - This tour is perfectly designed by a brilliant guide, Avik. It's an amazing experience. The guide Avik manages to provide us with a complete immersion into how life in Kolkata is, allowing us to taste the excellent food, using the various means of transport from the metro, to the bus and on foot, allowing us to interact with the inhabitants of Kolkata in various ways. forms. The guide Avik manages to immerse us in the life of Kolkata so that we understand what the city is like, why it is the city of joy, and how the inhabitants find a way to live happily even if they do not have many material possessions. I highly recommend this visit. Thank you Avik.

Most amazing time in Kolkata! - I had the most amazing time in Kolkata thanks to Avik and his hospitality. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, Avik is so passionate, warm hearted and a kind soul. Absolutely loved every single food spot, enjoyed the different flavors and all the new experiences. Another highlight was the use of all the different transportations, which makes you feel like a local. Avik explained a lot of interesting background details and showed us places in the city, which you would never reach by yourself as a tourist. Highly recommend this tour, I would totally do it again!

Highly recommend eating out in wonderful historic small establishments & trying the fabulous Kolkata cuisine was a highlight . He also cleverly wove in various forms of transport from the modern to the historic & exploring local neighbourhoods whilst taking in some of kolkatas faded grandeur ! I would definitely recommend

A gastronomic journey through North Calcutta - The tour was a resplendent with great archives of North Calcutta, filled with gastronomic experiences wherein one time travels from metro to local bus to a rickshaw. If anyone in Calcutta do visit this phenomenal tour and vegetarians do not worry you have plenty to trial out here Being a vegetarian myself I was full to the brim. Avik is an excellent orator and curates your experience accordingly

Amazing experience - The Chef’s Tour and Avik exceeded our expectations! Avik is incredibly knowledgeable about Kolkata history and culture and had thought through every aspect of the tour. At one of the stops we were unable to finish our food but were hesitant to stuff ourselves anymore and Avik thoughtfully told us he would collect our leftovers and offer it to a homeless person. I’ve been to many food tours around the world and have never had such a resourceful and proactive guide! We would highly recommend to anyone (foodie or not) to take this tour. Thanks for the wonderful experience, Avik!

A Truly Unforgettable Evening in Kolkata - What an extraordinary evening! This tour was a perfect blend of intellectual conversation and mouth-watering, iconic dishes of Kolkata—a night that I will cherish for a long time. The journey began with a ride on the bustling local metro, immersing me into the heart of Kolkata’s vibrant daily life. Walking through the city’s historic food joints, we indulged in the rich flavours of mutton kosha curry, fish cutlet and egg devil—all served at eateries that are nothing short of culinary institutions. We explored the legendary College Street and the surrounding historic neighbourhoods, soaking in the old-world charm of Kolkata. The peaceful backstreets provided a delightful contrast to the city’s busyness, and the guide’s fascinating stories about the history and culture of the area made it even more captivating. What made this tour even more special was the flexibility in accommodating my dietary restrictions and letting me try dishes I had been curious about. Every bite was a testament to the city’s rich culinary heritage To top it all off, ending the night with a seasonal hot Gur Rasgulla was pure joy for the taste buds—a perfect sweet finale to an already incredible experience. Words cannot do justice to this evening. It was not just a food tour—it was a journey through the culture, history, and flavours of Kolkata, accompanied by engaging conversations that made the experience intellectually and emotionally fulfilling. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a delightful evening filled with memorable food, enriching conversations, and an authentic slice of Kolkata’s charm.

Kolkata street foods - Aveek, the boys and I would like to thank you for a great evening. We had all been looking forward to this tour. We got to try a variety of different street foods that we would not have dared to on our own. The Kosha Mangsho was awesome. I was too full to do justice to Allen’s prawn cutlets. The tea halt was rejuvenating. The different modes of transport and the interesting architectural/ historical sights punctuating the food stops made for a really well rounded evening Our group of 7 tourists hit it off well and Aveek was an engaging guide and storyteller with a good sense of humor. An evening well spent!
