Highly recommended tour with a great guide. Plenty to eat and drink with bottled water always available - Avik was a great guide meeting us at the station and guiding us through the different modes of transport not to mention the exceptional food and drinks we tried during the tour. He mainly kept us on the quieter streets so it was really nice whilst walking along our way and we could clearly understand all he taught us during our adventure. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great behind the main tourist attractions look in the back streets as well as a complete meal with all the trimmings. Would advise starting with an empty stomach. Thank you again great guide

Must do in Kolkata! - Must do if you are in Kolkata! Our guide Avik was obviously very passionate about what he does. He showed us tons of small hole-in-the-wall food stalls that we never would have tried on our own, as well as guiding us through the back neighborhoods of Kolkata and explaining the history and culture. He went above and beyond, and even helped us hail a taxi to get us back to our hotel. I would recommend this tour again and again

Great exoerience - It was a whirlwind trip through Kolkata! Avik used different means of transport ..from the subway to a local bus and also a rickshaw to give us great exposure to different parts if the city. Started with terrific mango lassi, then mutton stew, several kinds of snacks, fried fish,drinks..and of course..sweets! Avik was very lively and engaging, explaining not only the foods and how they were prepared, but he also gave a history of the city and took us to hidden parts. Highly recommended.

What’s Not To Like? - What’s not to like? Guided and at times herded through the transport networks of Kolkata to the original suburbs where not only were we treated to the kinds of local delicacies that I would be too scared? to try but lessons in history were conducted too. Every question was answered.Don’t worry about the food -our well-being was taken care of. The drinks and snacks were just so different to anything I had ever tasted., the sauces were sublime. The treats just kept coming We learned so much about the inner soul of locals too. Avik was a great and knowledgeable guide with a wicked sense of humour too. Thoroughly recommended

Bengali nights - It was my 2nd time on Kolkata - and my 2nc Chef’s tour in this city. The tour was slightly different this time: in place of mutton we had seafood and fish. Avery good variety of appetizers and desserts. Our guide was very kind and knloledgeable. A must!

Expertly curated street food & historical tour of Kolkata's traditional eateries - Avri took me on a fantastic journey through historical Calcutta from its traditional street food stalls (establishments that have been run by generations of the same family) for 100s of years serving the most delectable plates which you wouldn't be able to find without his expert curation, to it's socio-political & cultural landscape. I had no problems at all with my digestive system afterwards. The tastes and other sensations still linger as fond memories

More than a food tour - This was a great experience for my husband and I . It was our 1st day in Kolkutta and we didn't know what we were installed for . We went straight on to a clean Subway train ,after a few stops we emerged from the under ground to be greeted by a fresh mango lassi .. the night went on.. we tried many delicous local specialities of food and drinks and experienced many modes of transport ( Rickshaw and local bus included ) .. I feel like we had a genuine experience of Kolkatta away from the main tourist areas
