Fabulous. Hundred percent recommended. - This was hands down one of the best travel experiences I've had in recent times. Manjit is passionate about Kolkata and that comes through in no time. His engaging style of leading the tour, the amazing tidbits of history that he gives as we walk through the little lanes of Kolkata - all make for a fantastic time. The food stops are rave-worthy - the dal Puri, the fresh naan and not to forget the steaming hot tea and delicious misti - they linger long after the trip is over. And it's not just the food - the background, the knowledge about where the food comes from, it's place in the culture - all add to the experience. Manjit has a wealth of knowledge that is unparalleled. Definitely recommend to anyone who's a fan of history and culture.

Great tour, knowledgeable guide. Recommend. - Manjit is very knowledgeable about the area he took us around and has a really good knowledge of history. He pointed out lots of things that we would not have realised the significance of and some simple things, like a community reading room and ordinary life. He also gives something back to the neighbourhood, in stopping off to buy tea, bread and giving some monies to the various religious places. It's not an arduous walk. It is amazing how many religions/peoples have lived side by side in Kolkata. I've got a reasonable knowledge of the history of Kolkata; this tour added to my knowledge. Completely recommend. Good value.

A Walk Back in Time - A really enjoyable early morning walk through amazing districts of Kolkata as the streets came to life. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the districts. The local people were so friendly and were happy to be photographed. The colours, the architecture, the friendly faces and our guide made this a memorable experience which I would recommend to anyone.

Great and safe way to experience true Kolkata in a short time - This was absolutely delightful experience! Manjit was a great guide, welcoming us in his local district. In a relatively small area we witnessed so many different things. I appreciate all the historical and cultural facts Manjit has up his sleeve - And the photo opportunies were endless. The street food was completely safe for us and we are happy we had it.

Treat yourself to a peak cultural experience - This walking tour will totally enrich your experience of Kolkata. My photo battery nearly ran out from the varied exposures to history, walking alleys with lots of traditional food prep and viewing the activity on the street. We visited many neighborhoods with different local and international roots, like China Town, and learned of their origins. Manjit, our guide, has been doing this for years and is a wealth of knowledge, as well as being thoroughly entertaining. I can’t recommend this enough.

Unique insights on Kolkata’s amazing history - Manjit’s tour was fantastic! He is super knowledgeable, insightful and engaging. I spent my childhood in Kolkata but I learned so many things I didn’t know about the city’s history and culture. The places we visited were unique and you won’t find them outside the tour, and the food we tried was delicious too. Highly recommend!
