YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TOUR!!! - Memorable experience and a unique way of sensing Kolkata. Manjit, our guide, demonstrates a vast knowledge of the subjects he speaks about and shows a very pleasant attitude as a tour guide. Incredibly, the tour takes you to only one neighborhood, but you are immersed in so much happening, local shops, streets, snacks, and delicacies - sold by different people from different cultures, that it is truly a kaleidoscope! The tour is incredibly well curated, Manjit has been doing it for years and knows most of the people/merchants along the streets covered - for me, that was the most pleasant and safest walk to use my photo equipment and enjoy with no worries. Another practical point worth mentioning is that I am very sensitive to street food, and I did not have any problems after trying several snacks, tea, and sweets offered on the tour.

We walked around a neighborhood where we visited all different - Manjit was such an incredible guide and gave us a memorable tour of Kolkata. His knowledge of the city and India as a whole was quite something and what made the experience even more unique was allowing us to try street food and delicacies. We will never forget this tour

A Truly Unforgettable Experience in the Heart of Kolkata! - From start to finish, this walking tour of Kolkata was nothing short of incredible. Manjit was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the city's rich history, culture, and hidden stories. We explored vibrant neighborhoods, temples, colonial architecture, and bustling local markets—each stop brought a new layer of the city to life. What really stood out was the personal touch—Manjit shared anecdotes and local legends that you won’t find in any guidebook. We sampled delicious street food (the puchkas were a highlight!), interacted with friendly locals, and even got to see some artisans at work in their small workshops. The pace was perfect—enough time to soak in the atmosphere, take photos, and ask questions. Whether you're a history buff, foodie, or simply curious about Kolkata’s soul, this tour is a must-do. It was the perfect blend of education, adventure, and cultural immersion. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kolkata—you’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for this incredible city!

Fabulous. Hundred percent recommended. - This was hands down one of the best travel experiences I've had in recent times. Manjit is passionate about Kolkata and that comes through in no time. His engaging style of leading the tour, the amazing tidbits of history that he gives as we walk through the little lanes of Kolkata - all make for a fantastic time. The food stops are rave-worthy - the dal Puri, the fresh naan and not to forget the steaming hot tea and delicious misti - they linger long after the trip is over. And it's not just the food - the background, the knowledge about where the food comes from, it's place in the culture - all add to the experience. Manjit has a wealth of knowledge that is unparalleled. Definitely recommend to anyone who's a fan of history and culture.

Great tour, knowledgeable guide. Recommend. - Manjit is very knowledgeable about the area he took us around and has a really good knowledge of history. He pointed out lots of things that we would not have realised the significance of and some simple things, like a community reading room and ordinary life. He also gives something back to the neighbourhood, in stopping off to buy tea, bread and giving some monies to the various religious places. It's not an arduous walk. It is amazing how many religions/peoples have lived side by side in Kolkata. I've got a reasonable knowledge of the history of Kolkata; this tour added to my knowledge. Completely recommend. Good value.

A Walk Back in Time - A really enjoyable early morning walk through amazing districts of Kolkata as the streets came to life. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the districts. The local people were so friendly and were happy to be photographed. The colours, the architecture, the friendly faces and our guide made this a memorable experience which I would recommend to anyone.
