Amazing Experience & Guide - A super unique tour involving cinematic storytelling! I’ve never been on a tour that involved seeing so many different parts of a city. There were taxis, buses, and ferries, it felt very encompassing! Paulami is a fantastic guide, she brings so much local guidance and personality to the experience and really made it stand out. I had a great time and I highly recommend!!

City of Joy - Excellent alternative option to get to know Kolkata. An essential walk to get to know the behind-the-scenes of the city, its people, its culture and history. Our guide, Polo, was very clear and answered all our questions.

Don't miss this tour while in Kolkata - A very original tour that makes you appreciate the history and culture of the city and many other aspects difficult to discover by yourself. Shrijit is very passionate about this city and very open and we had a lot of fun touring with him by every kind of public transport. We highly recommend. Carlo and Michela from Italy

An amazing tour - This was an amazing tour - Shrijit has so much knowledge about and passion for his city. It was fun taking all the different transport (take small change with you!) and we went at our own pace. We were taken to places we never would have discovered on our own and now have a real understanding of the history and culture of Kolkata.

Great creative tour in Kolkata - The cinematic experience, thought and designed by Shrijit (aka Arko), aims at portraying the many personas of Kolkata throughout the years. Shrijit ably took us through the multifaceted history of Kolkata from 1690 to the present days, like if it was a character of a Pirandello's novel. We visited the pulsating heart of the city and learned the stories of the many people that contributed to the charisma of the city as it is now. We stopped by some of the main landmarks, such as the Writers' Building, and walked in some of the most active areas, e.g. Kumartuli and College street. Unique tour, totally worthy, highly recommended.

Unique, Spectacular and Immersive - Shrijit took us by surprise. Every word on the tour was well researched and he took us back in time as he brought history alive on the porches, in the alleys, and face to face with the institutions of Kolkatta. No amount of appreciation can do justice to the exceptional tour he took us on....filled with prose, poetry, and real stories. We loved how the soul of this city was bared to us and the hours flew by. Truly, we could do this over and over again!

A must in kolkata - Was unsure how this tour would pan out with the narrative. But I need not have worried. orco was a fantastic guide through the time line of Kolkata. All through the areas we visited the narration of the story followed the history and his passion for his city of Kolkata. Honestly this was one of the best tours we have ever taken. If you are visiting Kolkata this tour is a must. No rushing had time time to answer questions and a genuine nice man. Gary and Jo from the UK

Good for a history buff - This tour is for those looking for a very VERY in-depth explanation on all things Kolkata. We did make it to a handful of sites however we found the stories and explanations to be extremely long-winded and frankly a bit boring. With that said, this was our own personal take on the tour. I’m sure others will love the long and detailed history lessons and explanations of Kolkata. The other “red flag” of this tour was every time we got on a mode of transportation (taxi, tuk tuk) or sat down for food, we were expected to pay and the rates were high. An Uber across town would cost us INR 300 and a taxi INR 200 for a five minute ride… we paid more for this experience than anything in Kolkata. For perspective, total transportation cost for the four people on our tour was ~$10 USD and combined we paid $150 USD for the tour. We didn’t expect as it wasn’t disclaimed in the tour posting and after paying so much for the tour. Transportation should have been included.
