Upon arrival in Edfu, you will visit the magnificent Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, and considered by many to be the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, this is where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged his father Osiris’s murder by killing Seth. A boxed lunch will be provided. Afterward, continue your tour to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which stands on elevated ground overlooking the Nile. This temple is unique due to its double entrance, with one side dedicated to the falcon-headed god Haroeris and the other to the crocodile-headed god Sobek. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built to honor these two deities: Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon-headed Horus.
