After the IIWW Vis became a military base to which access was strictly controlled. In the summer 1989 island has been opened to foreign visitors. You will FIND OUT WHY VIS was strategically significant in the Adriatic and was fought over in many naval battles. We will have Land Rover jeep ride, walk through the underground tunnels, highest peak visit, clmb to Tito’s cave.

Get ready to explore the intriguing past of the ‘Key of the Adriatic’! We’ll journey through the former military underground passageways – including the massive former rocket base ‘Stupisce’ and the former Atomic rocket command ‘Vela Glava’. We’ll ascend Island’s tallest mountain - Hum, and trek to Tito’s cave. Enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the central Dalmatian islands, immerse in the aroma of aromatic herbs, unravel historical secrets, and experience the excitement of navigating underground tunnels. Please come geared with sturdy shoes and engage actively. Helmets and lights will be provided when venturing in the underground tunnels.
