As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for experiences that can captivate both adults and children alike. The kids were intrigued by the idea of an elevator that dates back to the early 20th century, and the views from the top were simply breathtaking. It was a perfect spot for a quick family selfie, capturing the stunning panorama of Izmir.

A Taste of Local Culture

No trip to Izmir would be complete without indulging in the local cuisine. Our guide led us to a charming little restaurant where we savored traditional Turkish dishes. The flavors were rich and diverse, and even the kids found something they loved. It was a delightful culinary adventure that added a delicious layer to our day.

After lunch, we had some free time to explore on our own. We wandered through the local markets, picking up unique souvenirs and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. The kids loved the colorful trinkets and the chance to practice their bargaining skills.
