Specifically, due to high-quality soil and an extreme passion for winemaking, their wines always left guests speechless! Along with wines, you will have a chance to try their homemade food, prosciutto, cheese, and olives. Before wine tasting, you will be introduced to homemade liquors combined with local sweets.
After wine tasting, you will have time to experience one of the most beautiful small towns in Europe, Cavtat. According to statistics, they are listed as third when it comes to safety due to the coronavirus pandemic. There you can try homemade ice cream or try local coffee. Excellent tour - highly recommend! - Excellent tour with very generous wine samples and lovely selection of meats and cheeses. Beautiful location and nice drive out to the winery. Enjoyed the stop off at Cavtat on way back.

Relaxing, informative. delicious - A fabulous half day. Family run winery with clear family values and beliefs. Lovely wine in generous servings. Everything was made on site; cheeses, bread, smoked meats, liqueurs. We weren’t rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Visit to Cavtat with a drink by the water rounded off a lovely afternoon/evening

Best wine tasting - City of Stone travel are a great group. Everyone in the family at Botaro winery were amazing from the wine to the cheese and meat , all handcrafted and yummy. A must if you are in the area

Amazing afternoon, gorgeous vineyard and lovely wines. - Gorgeous, picturesque vineyard. Tasted 2 whites, a rose, a red and a desert wine. The whites were amazing and on sale in the house at the end of the tour. The nibbles were also very nice, bread served with different meats and olives.
Because of the heat, our guide suggested we go to a small river nearby instead of the trip to Cavtat. It was definitely the right call as the river was amazing, more like a step-down waterfall. Stunning place with a restaurant next to it whereby you can sit in the shade and have a coffee.
Overall, a wonderful trip!

Small Local Winery with great wine - We decided to go on this tour as it was a small (still decent size) family vineyard which produced 4 types of wine: 2 white, 1 rose and 1 merlot.
We were picked up near to where we were staying and our guide/driver was great and we had lovely conversations to and from the vineyard and then to Cavtat where we stopped afterwards for an hour.
We enjoyed the company which was mixed, UK, Canada & US. The food platter and wine tasting was great and we were allowed to wander through the vineyard. Our host at the vineyard was very informative and I would recommend this trip rather than to a much bigger vineyard which were available.
Out of the 4 wines we tasted the second was our favourite and we purchased 2 bottles at €15 each and I wasn’t prepared to bargain the price down as we love to support locals anywhere.
Definitely worth doing this trip.
