  During a brief tour of the Constance Cathedral, the former Episcopal Church, our guide will enlighten you with stories from Constance’s past.
  The tour concludes after approximately 2 hours at the marketplace in Konstanz. This square, located in the heart of the old town, invites you to unwind in a cozy café, enjoy a snack, or explore the many unique boutiques.
• Fischmarkt - At the corner of Hohenhausgasse/Oberer Fischmarkt stands the “Hohe Haus,” dating back to 1194. Legend has it that it was constructed from top to bottom. Look forward to the intriguing stories our guide will share about this house!
• Konstanzer Munster - The historic center of Konstanz is the Münster. Allow our guide to reveal the unique features of the former Episcopal Church and experience a tangible piece of history.
• Munsterplatz, Konstanz - The expansive Münsterplatz is bordered by impressive cathedral courtyards from the Baroque era, when Constance was a bishop’s seat. It was also the site of the “Constantia” castle, built by the Romans nearly 2000 years ago, which ultimately gave Constance its name. Discover the remnants of the ancient Roman castle walls.
• Old Town (Niederburg) - In Konstanz’s oldest district, the Niederburg, medieval stone houses, pawnshops of affluent cathedral owners, and remarkable Baroque administrative buildings still stand today. Strolling through the narrow old streets, accompanied by our guide’s anecdotes, you will witness a vivid portrayal of a well-preserved medieval city.
• Wessenbergstraße - Wessenbergstraße runs through the heart of Konstanz’s pedestrian zone. Explore the many unique shops and recharge in one of the cozy cafés. Our guide will gladly offer recommendations!
• Konstanzer Obermarkt - The Obermarkt was a significant trading hub in earlier times. It also housed the pillory, used for public punishments in the Middle Ages. During the Council period, the “cradle of Prussia” was located here, in Germany’s last tip. Our guide has many more stories to share with you.
• Kaiserbrunnen - At the heart of the council city of Constance is the Kaiserbrunnen, named after the numerous kings and emperors who have visited Constance throughout history. • The start time after 18:00 is possible, but then neither the Konstanz Minster nor the Rosgartenmuseum can be visited, as they close already at 18:00
• On Sundays and church holidays, the cathedral cannot be visited before 11:30 a.m. as services are held
