- Predjama Castle - The Predjama Castle reigns over the surrounding area, not far from the Postojna Cave, in the idyllic village of Predjama. This picturesque, magnificent, defiant, mysterious and impregnable castle has been perched up in the middle of a vertical 123-meter high cliff for more than 800 years. Its romantic appeal is further emphasized by the idyllic Lokva River, which disappears into the underground world deep down below the castle. As the only preserved cave castle in Europe, the Predjama Castle offers a unique insight into the building techniques and resourcefulness of people in the Middle Ages, who were looking for and found a safe harbor for themselves right at the entrance into the cave. During a siege that took place in the 15th century, the castle provided a refuge for its best known and most notorious owner - Erazem of Predjama. The legend about the courageous robber baron Erazem, who remained undefeated until one of his servants betrayed him, is still in people’s minds, inspiring and alluring as ever. It was this safe abode of his which helped the brave knight resist the besiegers without much difficulty for more than a year.
- Postojna Cave - Postojna Cave, the queen of all caves, is the best-known cave in the world. It is also the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia and one of the world’s largest karst monuments. This is the only place in the world where the underground landscape can be traversed on an electric train and where you get to meet this underground kingdom’s most famous inhabitant - the proteus (olm) - up close. A fantastic web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls, astonishing diversity of karst features, as well as easy access are certainly the main reasons for such popularity of the cave and a large number of visitors (more than 36 million of them in over 200 years).

Cave lovers delight! - The cave tour was fun and educational with fantastic views of geological formation half a million years in the making. The train rides in and out made the deeper recesses quite accessible and the lighting provided scenic beauty. The castle portion of the tour was amazing. This one-of-a-kind structure built into the side of a mountain cave was fantastic. Best of all, however, was our guide Ernie. He was fun to listen to, with great humor and knowledge. Highly recommend this tour!

Great first impression of Slovenia! - Koper Tours guide Matt was an excellent host for our cruise stop in Koper. From finding him as we disembarked (super easy) to the drive out to the cave and castle (good info on Slovenia history and culture), to a couple quick extra stops on the drive back because we were ahead of schedule. Thanks Matt and Koper Tours! You made our first time experience in Slovenia memorable.

Great trip - The caves were amazing. The castle was beautiful to see. Do not think it was worth extra to go inside. The outside was the best part

Great experience - bring a coat! - The caves were beautiful but chilly - the train was fun. Our guide was amazing! So personable - answered all our questions, told us a lot about the history of the area.
The castle was very interesting - would have loved to have more time there.

My experience - Our tour guide was Dejan, he was very helpful and gave us a lot of additional informations about Slovenia, Triest, Koper etc. while driving. The car was clean and airconditioned, as promised. The driver arrived on time.
The castle was magnificent, I certainly reccomend to choose a tour (like this) where you can go inside. The cave is also very beautiful.

A great place to visit! - Absolutely amazing cave tour, the cave is beautiful and the tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate. My whole family loved this. Can get a bit cool in the cave, but not super cold. A great place to visit!

Fabulous Excursion - This was our favorite excursion on a cruise from Athens to Venice. We wanted a small group excursion but were surprised that it turned out to be just us two and the guide. We visited the castle first which worked out great because it was uncrowded with only about 10 people there at the time.
The cave was a marvel and enormous but enjoyable. Our guide made it all work beautifully including lunch afterwards at a small rural restaurant that had a circa 1459 Venetian walled church we visited too. I can't speak highly enough about this excursion, guide and operator.

Cave is awesome; castle interesting. More of a driver and not a tour guide though. - The cave is amazing. Great pictures. Bring a raincoat as it’s chilly and water drips from the ceiling. Castle is interesting.
I wouldn’t say our tour guide was a guide; it’s more of a driver to the two attractions. He said nothing in the car on the drive to the group, just chatted with the man up front. Nice young man but I would have liked to hear about the area during our drive.

Disappointed - Tour guide would not let us go......too late to go up to cave. Cruise ship was only 15 minutes late to dock....we were told we'd get refunded and never did no matter who we spoke too
