However, the Caves, Karst & Wine Trail was equally designed to offer travelers the chance to discover the expansive Wine region of Slovenia known as “Primorska”, complete with an array of distinguished wineries and traditional food. This full-day tour guided by one of our wine specialists is designed for a small group.
The itinerary includes a visit to an age-old wine cellar, a trip to Skocjan caves, followed by lunch and a tour of a classic Karst winery. White & red wine tasting is also part of the tour, along with a trip to a medieval village dating back to the early 15th century.
- Our tour runs regardless of weather conditions - rain, hail or shine! Our tour lasts nine hours, and involves some walking, so be sure to bring comfortable footwear. Your guide will stay with you throughout the tour, and you can make requests about any special dietary requirements such as any food allergies or foods you prefer to avoid eating. You can email us about special dietary requirements prior to the tour. And don’t forget to bring a camera, you’ll want to remember these great places and show them to all your family and friends for when they come to Slovenia.
