Great tour day! - Our guide Poilez, was right outside our ship ready to take us. He spoke great English and was very informative. He suggested an itinerary to maximize our time. Everyone had a great time and we were back at the ship in plenty of time! Would definitely recommend this tour group.

Great shore excursion in Slovenia - Istranka's tour made it possible for us to see both Lake Bled and Ljubljana during our cruise stop in Koper - our cruise ship could provide excursions to one or the other but not both. We had great pre-tour email communications with Ivan, who quickly and smoothly confirmed our reservation and whose kiosk was as promised impossible to miss as we left the cruise terminal, and Marco was a terrific driver and guide who was perfectly flexible with us as we visited Lake Bled and Ljubljana. Our group of two retired couples was very comfortable in the minivan, and our strolls at both tour stops (and nice breaks for coffee and a local lunch) were delightful, with time to enjoy the beautiful lake scenery and a surprisingly gorgeous city, and great commentary and advice (like don't miss the local specialty, cream cake :}) from Marco. Very well done!

This was the best day of a two week trip. Try to get Marco. He’s unbelievable. - Marco is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to Slovenia and Europe in general regarding the history and how all the countries relate to each other. Lake bled and Ljubjlana were gorgeous must see places in Europe.

Best way to see Slovenia - We can not say enough good things about our guide Alinka! We had such an amazing tour and she was so organized every step of the way calling ahead for special tables at restaurants, showing us hidden photo spots in Ljubljana and Lake Bled. We were a group of 3 couples and this was one of the best excursion day of our cruise. We saw sooooo much of this beautiful country. Highly recommend this tour and we all want to come back to beautiful Slovenia!

Beautiful Slovenia - Our Guide was very knowledgeable, took the time to make it a special day for our group. We explored the island, the castle and then went to Ljubljana for dinner and a walk through the streets of Ljubljana.

Outstanding Tour - Beautiful Country - OMG...Istranka Tours highlighted this beautiful country. Outstanding tour company (http://www.istrankatours.com), we selected "Lake Bled & Ljubljana Private Tour". Great communication with Ivan, he answered my many questions about the this tour, the options available and what was realistic based on our time in port. Ivan wants to make sure his customers gets every opportunity to see Slovenia, he contacted us to see if we were flexible to add 2 more people to our group because 4 people of the group of 6 cancelled. Marco, our guide and driver Vergo were "outstanding", great English, knowledge of country, surrounding area and willing to work with us based on the mix of people (walking and time for extras ie lunch and free time). Not only is the country beautiful, but the tour received rave reviews from those who part of our group.

Best day! - We had a wonderful day visiting Lake Bled, the castle, and then Lljubljana. Marco was a great tour guide and shared his wealth of knowledge with us. I would highly recommend.

Istranka Tours - Great - Everything about Istranka Tours is outstanding. Communication with Ivan was always prompt and courteous. We booked Lake Bled and Ljubljana from Koper for one day. Four of us went to the caves from Trieste and three of us went to Piran from Trieste the following day and he never missed a beat. Our guide Goran for Lake Bled was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information on our long bus ride back and forth. He also found us a great place for the Slovenian cream cake and another place for sausages. The trip to the caves and castle was fabulous. Even though the weather was rainy, the trip to Piran and the walking tour of Trieste given by Damien was informative and fun. To my surprise, upon my return, Ivan presented me with a bottle of native Slovenian white wine which we all tasted at dinner. I would definitely recommend this company.

A lovely day in Slovenia - Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. He gave us a lot of great information on the country. My only issue is that Lake Bled was too far a drive from the port (110min) for what we did. The boat ride to the island was lovely but not worth the long drive. Ljubljana was a lovely city and definitely worth the visit. It was just over an hour from the port.
