A taste of Turkey - Bodrum day trip - We booked a day trip from Kos to Bodrum with an independent at the port . The ship was Malena. Before we booked the lady explained fully what we could expect in terms of queue times at passport control, best days to do the trip and advice about travelling with children without their father present. She was extremely helpful and the prices were very reasonable €25 adult , €15 for 13 year old, €10 for 10 year old. The experience was exactly as she described, slight queue to board in Kos and a bit of a queue to get through passport control in Turkey but she’d advised us to wait on the boat until the queue started to die down . It wasn’t much longer than a 20 minute wait. The crossing was a lovely experience and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. Bodrum was much more upmarket than I’d imagined with lovely glass fronted shops and not a market place as expected. The shopping area is mostly under cover and shaded from the heat. Prices are higher than expected although quality of merchandise is on the whole very good, it is possible to haggle traders down a bit but can feel like hard work. Lots of nice quaint streets and restaurants and a pebble beach with cafes and bars where you can sit and enjoy a cocktail and soak up the sunshine . All in all a fun day out and something a bit different than the usual glass bottom boat trips .

Definitely worth it. - Definitely worth a day of your holidays. Great market right off the pier in Bodrum. Wether was very warm but lots of places for a cool drink. Great places for food and obviously the shopping is great. Don't forget the suntan lotion.

Baat trip - Good day out but too long, food was good. He did stopped at few places but didn’t had a chance to pop out to visit. The tour could have been shortened to 4 hrs

Not for us - False advertising first of all, boat trip in fact takes over an hour NOT the 20 minutes displayed. In Bodrum be prepared, the centre is infested with men pushing products on tourists. The market was a no go for us. What is a beautiful place is let down by the atmosphere. Everyone on the boat returned an hour before we needed to.

Bad day trip to Bodrum - Reason for one star was not the fast very that was good, the booking And cost was reasonable and the lady was very helpful although the queue for the ferries and the customs area was organised chaos and that is being very polite!! Upon arrival easy transfer to drop area then in my opinion it went downhill very fast Bodrum port was a nice walk for about an hour but everything else was a tacky market style place replica this and replica that, if you stopped for any drinks/data I found they just charged so much for very little. Shame really as I felt that it was three hours of my life I will never get back and would never recommend this trip to anyone
