The Heart and Soul Behind Our Journey - Our guide Damu put his heart into every detail of the trip — from the evening briefings that helped us feel prepared for the next day, to checking on each of us during the toughest parts of the trek. He managed the group with calm confidence, always staying organized, flexible, and in control, even when plans had to shift due to weather. One thing that really stood out was how he made sure everyone felt seen — whether you were the fastest hiker or needed extra encouragement on the climbs. A small but great touch: he’d often remind us to take breaks right before the best viewpoints — something I wouldn’t have thought of but truly appreciated. He also gave us plenty of insight into local culture and mountain life, which made the experience even richer. Honestly, there wasn’t anything I’d change. Just a tip for future trekkers: trust his advice on gear and pacing — he knows exactly what he’s doing. I’d 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a well-led, safe, and deeply memorable adventure.

If not Mt.Everest summit, then Everest base camp!!! - For the past 2 years I kept following many trekking agencies through google search and instagram/facebook pages and what caught up my mind was Mission summit treks & expeditions and Mr. Damu (director/guide). I followed their trek updates and researched well before I finally sent an enquiry to Mr. Damu. His timely response lengthened our WhatsApp chats detailing the ebc trek upto my nepal trip and kathmandu sight seeings. He was ready with flexible dates too. Initially this trip was my dream, and when my wife decided to join, my dream was clubbed with the safety of her as both of us were not hard-core trekkers. And Mr. Damu assured me and shared all details on how to safely complete the trek. He even extended his support during our out of the plan kathmandu tours. The trek is not an easy one. But a do able one with dedication to accomplish the dream inside us. The terrain is difficult one with steep ascends/descends, suspension bridges, white sand rivers, rocky & dusty walkways, surprise rain & snow and cliffside walks. Mr.Damu is very knowledgeable person about the place, the route and about everything around us. He constantly checks on and monitors us and offers support even before we could identify we are tired. He gave enough time for the trek so we can follow the pace comfortable for us. He was very clear about how long to go until next stopover, where there is facilities to sit/rest, washroom and restaurant throughout the way. He even extended help by carrying my wife's backpack and also requesting our porters to come halfway back to support in carrying the backpacks of the team members who were tired. He clicks good photographs too, with which our memories are stamped forever. Their itinerary might be similar to other trek operators, but his services are exceptional. When our lukla flights were cancelled straight 2 days due to weather, he arranged hotels for us even in the busy holi festival holidays than washing off his hands by asking us to go and find hotels. He made sure we are comfortable from start to end of the trip. Be open to him, and share any difficulties or concerns you have, it will be addressed the right way. Few things are out of his hands, but he will find a way to sort it. He is very clear about his responsibilities and safety of the team during the trek. He has good contacts for most of the lodges and restaurants throughout the trek route. His porters are also well behaved and helpfull.

A trek I will never forget! - How do I start? Well, it all started that my friend I decided to trek the EBC and wanted to get the best experience without breaking our banks. How do I ended up with Mission Summit Trek and Expedition. They were the talk of town in the Philippines through social media so I decided to stalk their accounts and website and started to read reviews silently and send message through Instagram and whatsApp which btw, Damu is responsive in any of those accounts that make us feel at east that we’re in the right hand. Damu is knowledgeable and attentive to all our questions and answer it with confidence. Professional when it comes to guest relationship, friendly as I must say and he make sure to throw jokes from time to time to make us all motivated. It was difficult trek for me coming from a country that elevation is only 13m, but they equipped us with all the information of what and not to do ahead of time. Offer services that he’s no longer his job and make sure that it will landed us on the right person/hotel for our personal needs. Checking us always if we’re still okay along the trek and put us forward on what to see along the way. have fun while climbing and don't rush - Completed the Everest Basecamp Trek in Oct 2024 with Mission Summit Trek. It's essential to have a good team supporting you during the Trek to ensure you can prepare well, and climb worry-free at their pace while staying safe and having fun. We were a group of 9 friends and Damu was our guide. Our group had a broad spectrum of fitness levels so keeping the group together was not an easy task.
