Exciting Everest with the best company - Out of many companies I communicated with, I found Nature lovers’ prices to be extremely fair and reasonable. I booked the Everest base camp package with them and at the end of the journey; I realized that I had traveled with the best one. From the beginning until the end, everything was smooth. My guide Dewan led me to Everest with ease and proper expertise. I am looking forward to go to Nepal again but this time with my wife and the family.

BEWARE, CAUTION AWExpedition/NO, NO Jeannette McGill Mountains - I had read AWE reviews before signing; I have reread with Sunny Strooer's recent comment. There are 49 "glowing testimonials" with Sunny as lead, working with guides she knows and/or trained, perhaps 10-11 where she was absent (not mentioned) but with trained AWE crew guides. These were AWE expeditions Sunny, has done well with over the years. But Nepal Three Passages EBC/, 11/3/24-11/27/24 was AWE's first time offer. Sunny is good but was not present to lead nor had she worked/trained with Jeannette McGill and Phunjo Lama. They have reputations as Women Mountaineers; Jeannette was featured in AWE Calendar 2024; she also donated to AWE. Phunjo Lama is "the fastest woman on Everest," featured in AWE Calendar 2025. Sunny Strooer writing: "Why I Chase Speed Records & Adventure Let’s be real: speed records don’t matter in the grand scheme. Who cares how fast you hiked or ran? What does it change? The reason I love chasing them isn’t the numbers—it’s the adventure. Speed records push me to test my limits, physically and mentally, and to explore the potential that we all have within us. There’s something transformative about pushing beyond what you thought was possible. If, along the way, I can encourage others to seek their own challenges, to test their own limits, or to find their own sense of purpose in the wild places that we’re so fortunate to explore... then I know that these eccentric quests that I pursue aren't purely selfish, but add a little bit of brightness to the world." I am an adventurous senior soon to be 78yo. If "speed" was the goal for this, that should have been highlighted in the presentation; I would have passed. Another agreed the presentation should have been better written. I was there to do the Three Passages but was not allowed because I was "slow." I am healthy and fit; I could have done it but not in Sunny's, Jeannette's or Phunjo's time. In the testimonials, one mentioned she was the slowest but had supportive, not judgmental professionalism and continued encouragement. Also emphasized was the importance of pre- and post- trip portion of the climb. I was told the trek was ending 11/26/24, one day earlier, no post trip dinner. The contract is pictured with confirmed dates: Sun, Nov 3, 2024- Wed, Nov 27, 2024. The others got the full contract and dinner; I did not. I had to get another hotel before departing for Tibet. Shea McCrary, AWE Operations Manager, offered Jeannette McGill for 14 days, $4950, without experience. I chose Tibet Vista Travel which was experienced, reasonable and very good, 8 days $1169. Initially applying with AWE, I was not accepted. After the AWE Tibet offer, Shea invited me to join. She overlooked my waiver until I was being dropped, split off from the group. I should not have signed, 11/13/24. Shea dropped me from WhatsApp early, 11/26/24. She also changed Three Passage dates to 11/03/24-12/02/24 for an unauthorized auto payment on my American Express account. I viewed that as an attempted "double charge" since I had already taken care of the extra $400 bill from Jeannette and Phunjo for splitting me off with the trainee guide, Sanjib. Phunjo was yelling at me to pay. When I mentioned I would be reporting to Sunny, they improved. I was still cut the last hotel day, post trip dinner. AWE reviews commended Sunny for the care in feeding them. I took her module classes and she stressed the importance of food, eating. Bag lunches were packed for a picnic lunch at Sunder Peak. I didn't get one. Jeannette McGill is a heavyweight. BEWARE. What Sunny says about women is true but women and unhealthy female tactics, ego and greed are also true. Sunny says AWE is entitled to that last payment I gave to the porter that they tried to charge on my American Express. She says I gave them a "tip." NOT TRUE. The $1100 extra I paid was in cash; Although they accepted charge; I was not allowed. When I paid in cash; I strongly suspect, the guides take, get their "entitled share." BEWARE Sunny denies racial, age discrimination but she was not present. I included the following in my initial complaint to Sunny Strooer 12/22/2024 about AWE/Jeannette McGill Mountains: THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) defines "elder abuse “ or “abuse of older people:” The abuse of older people, also known as elder abuse, is a single or repeated act, or lack of appropriate action, occurring within any relationship where there is an expectation of trust, which causes harm or distress to an older person. This type of violence constitutes a violation of human rights and includes physical, psychological and emotional abuse; financial and material abuse; abandonment; neglect; and serious loss of dignity and respect. LEARNING FROM ANTI-ASIAN HATE, SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING: REPORT TO TRIPADVISOR, NECESSARY ORGANIZATIONS SO OTHERS CAN AVOID MY EXPERIENCE. I am requesting a refund of my $5900.
